  1. There may very well be a decent WR left over for us. I counted 9 still on the board I have some interest in.
  2. Strike that. Looking through the O Linemen left, it's kind of now or never. Hopefully a WR drops. That said, I feel very confident we'll be taking a WR inside the top 3 rounds in real life.
  3. Do you see WR being plentiful by the time we pick again? I think it's still the bigger need of the two.
  4. If anyone drops out, I'll pick up a team, if needed.
  5. Like it or not, Reed is here to mentor some of the youngsters.
  6. I don't know when we'll pull the plug on him. My gut tells me midseason of next year.
  7. That's the Josh Bell on the Pirates. He's really good. The one on Baltimore sucks.
  8. Yeah, and Darwin Barney should never field another routine ground ball in a Cubs uniform. If not for the stupid Marlin grounding into a DP, I'm not sure Dolis would have thrown one effective strike all night. He really hasn't had much control or command in any of his appearances. Give someone else a shot. Sorry, but he has had less than ten innings in the majors. He's easily our best option to stick long-term. Let him have his growing pains and learn.
  9. Damn, I didn't realize Hosley was still on the board or he would have been great for the Bears. I think Brooks is a project personally and a 3rd round OG should probably be able to step in and start. I like Criner more than Jones, but I'm fine with either and am also OK with McNutt here.
  10. Brett with a triple, Rizzo with a single in the 1st.
  11. Like Goldstein said, cortisone shots this early in the season usually lead towards other things.
  12. I still have no clue what they're doing with him. It's one thing to limit innings, but this seems really excessive.
  13. Without knowing the Marlins pen, lefties back to back to back is interesting.
  14. Simpson seemed like an ego driven pick. To prove how good of an eye Wilken has. That said, he's pretty solid, but thrilled we have McLeod here now.
  15. Torreyes out for 3rd straight game. Anyone know what's up there?
  16. I guess the hope is we see him slowly build up velo, but I think it probably would have begun, if it was going to happen.
  17. Might as well get the Bears discussion going, I think we probably all agree the 3 biggest needs are WR, CB, and O Line. I don't see value in a CB here, same with O Line. Brooks seems like a project to me. As far as WR's go, I love Criner here. I thinkRaw likes Marvin Jones. McNutt could be a possibility, as could Toon. My vote goes to Criner though. I'd love to add another big guy who creates after the catch.
  18. He's younger, I guess. Plus, I still don't see us paying all of Soriano's deal anytime soon.
  19. If those two are putting up the same numbers, which one helps the team more? LaHair does, because he's a tradeable part. Soriano isn't. He'll, throw Soriano BACK out there after LaHair has been showcased and dealt. This, means Rizzo has shown enough that we're comfortable at 1B.
  20. The difference though, is it is easier to tolerate coming from a guy making the league minimum, than it is coming from a guy making 18 mill a year, especially if they're the same offensively. Soriano is just money that would be much better off being placed elsewhere obviously.
  21. Pretty sure McNutt can hit 97 or 98. Haven't heard velour reports this year though.
  22. Yeah, my guess is he goes in the early 2nd, maybe even late 1st, if a team trades up for him. He's got a ton of buzz right now.
  23. I would love to see Brett and Upton in the same OF.
