  1. Wilken was seen scouting Fried this week.
  2. Give me Criner in the 3rd and a falling CB, Dennard or Hosley in the 5th. I'm ecstatic at that point.
  3. Last mock for WalterFootball has us taking Brockers, Zeitler, Dwight Bentley, Keensn Robinson, Tim Fugger, Deangelo Peterson, and some OT named Kelly. That'd be a decent draft, in my mind, but I wouldn't be jumping up and down over it.
  4. I'd basically want their draft from last year. Barbed, Owens, Swihart, and JBJ. Yeah, it's a lot, but I'm not trading Garza unless I get a gigantic package.
  5. I would trade up for Floyd, Cox, and Ingram. And only then if we're only moving up 3 or 4 spots.
  6. I'm not sold enough on Kalil personally, to do that. I would trade Forte for Osi and a 3rd or something like that.
  7. I wouldn't just want any LB taken at 19 though. My point is specifically if a guy who many have as a top 10 talent just happens to drop to them, there's no reason to pass because of position depth. If he does fall it could easily mean a run on other positions has hit the value of those positions as well. I agree with that too and I do see Kuechly as that type of talent. I think I'm trying to prepare myself if we take McClellin or Irvin at 19.
  8. I see both sides of taking a LB in the 1st. Yeah, there are other positions that are more of a need obviously, but our guys are certainly not getting younger and it wouldn't shock anyone to see us go through an injury or two this year at that spot. It's not my first choice, by any means, but if they have someone they think is the BPA, I'm not going to get pissed either. Outside of QB, RB, and C, I'm OK with any position addressed at 19. I just "prefer" either Line, WR, or CB.
  9. I kind of want them to move up in the 2nd, having 2 picks in the top 35-40 or so could really help provide 2 impact 2012 starters. I'd be completely fine with that too. Seems like Wright could fall into that range possibly. Same with a Nick Perry or a Jerel Worthy. Should be solid value at OG in that area too. So yeah, a trade back from 19 and a trade up from 50, could make a ton of sense, especially since the value appears to be a very small separation between 15 and 40 or so.
  10. Osi makes a ton of sense for us. He'd be better than any rookie DE we can find at 19 and we still would have the ability to draft impact types in the 1st and 2nd. I'm really starting to want us to trade down at this point, by the way. I'd love to be in the 25 to 30 range, with an extra 3rd or 4th.
  11. Betances is a reliever and Banuelos is having issues right now. His size has always been a potential red flag for me too. Mason Williams is the centerpiece of a deal with the Yanks for me. But I'd still need much more than just him. They're a much better fit for Dempster, than they are for Garza. Boston and Toronto are much better fits for Garza. Arizona is too, if you could get them to part with some of their ridiculous pitching. With as hard as it's going to be to find big-time pitching now, you have to be blown away to trade him. Just don't see how the Yanks can do that honestly.
  12. Evidently they're going to attempt to prevent leaks, keeping us from knowing who is going where until it is announced. No more seeing guys talking on the phone.
  13. Manny Gonzalez signs with the Pads, finishing off last years class.
  14. Perfect draft for me starts with trading Forte for Osi, with us getting their 2nd and sending them our 4th. Take Brockers in the 1st. Give up our 3rd to move up and get Wright near the top of the 2nd. Take David Wilson with the other 2nd. Get Dennard in the 5th and a developmental O Line and S with our 6 and 7. If McNeill. Can get healthy, sign him to compete with Webb, using the cap savings from trading Forte for Osi.
  15. I think there is zero chance Burfict gets drafted at this point. And personally I think there's very little chance Jenkins is available to us in the 2nd, much less the 3rd.
  16. Osi counts less than 4 mill against the cap right now. He also said today, he just wants out and doesn't need a new deal. A cut or two or getting a guy or two to restructure and he's VERY attainable.
  17. I like Hylton, Wright, or Broyles here for the Bears. Broyles is my favorite of the 3. I think Broyles can turn into an 80 catch type guy and if he wasn't hurt, would probably be a top 50 pick. He did just run a 4.5ish 40 this week too, so he's ready to play soon anyway. What are you guys thinking?
  18. Dew, I think we were posting at the same time earlier. Didn't see your question. I think McClellin seems like a huge reach myself. No clue why he's been moving up as much as he has honestly.
  19. BURN THE WITCH! I need to start predicting Stewart homers. That's way too easy. That's like predicting Derrick Rose baskets or something. I think even you feel bad for how unlucky Stewart has been so far.
  20. LaHair has as many homers as Pujols has RBI.
  21. McClellin is gaining serious traction, I think he's going inside the top 20. I like Taylor, but admit he's a 15 pick reach there.
  22. If it just takes a 3rd rounder to get Umenyiora, I hope like hell we do that.
  23. The thing is though, the actual draft will look much more like this, than the typical cookie cutter types, we see being mocked. Teams make mistakes and also look at their needs differently than what analysts do. At least this mock includes some headscratchers, unlike most mocks out there.
  24. Hightower fits Pitt great, but I had him off the board at 15.
  25. Umenyiora says he'll keep his current contract, if he's dealt. Might could be had for a 3rd rounder and his cap hit would be under 4 mill.
