  1. I screwed around with a 2 round mock last night and here's what I came up with. 1-Indy Andrew Luck QB 2-Washington Robert Griffin QB 3-Minnesota Matt Kalil OT 4-Cleveland Trent Richardson RB 5- Tampa Morris Claiborne CB 6- STL Justin Blackmon WR 7- KC(From Jax) Ryan Tannehill QB 8- Miami Michael Floyd WR 9- Carolina Fletcher Cox DT 10-Buffalo Stephen Gilmore CB 11-Jax(from KC) Melvin Ingram DE 12- Seattle Luke Kuechly ILB 13- Philadelphia(From Arizona) Mark Barron S 14- Dallas David DeCastro OG 15- Arizona(from Philadelphia) Donta Hightower 16- NYJ Shea McClellin OLB 17- Cincy Dre Kirkpatrick CB 18- SD Riley Reiff OT 19- Pittsburgh(from Chicago) Dontari Poe DT 20- Tennessee Cordy Glenn OG 21- Cincy Kendall Wright WR 22- Cleveland Brandon Weedon QB 23- Detroit Jonathan Martin OT 24- Chicago Michael Brockers DT 25- Denver Stephen Hill WR 26- Houston Quinton Coples DE 27- NE Chandler Jones DE 28- Green Bay Whitney Mercilus DE 29- Baltimore Courtney Upshaw OLB 30- San Francisco Coby Fleener TE 31- NE Harrison Smith S 32- NYG Kevin Zeitler OG 33- Dallas(from STL) Vinny Curry DE 34- Indy Peter Konz C 35- Minnesota AJ Jenkins WR 36- TB Doug Martin RB 37-Cleveland Mitchell Schwartz OT 38- Jax Brian Quick WR 39- Seattle(from STL) Nick Perry DE 40- Carolina Alshon Jeffrey WR 41- Buffalo Jerel Worthy DT 42- Miami Brock Osweiler QB 43- STL-(from Seattle) Mike Adams DE 44- KC Amini Silatolu OG 45- STL(FROM Dallas) David Wilson RB 46- Philadelphia Mychal Kendricks OLB 47- NYJ Brandon Taylor S 48- NE Jenoris Jenkins CB 49-SD Bruce Irvin OLB 50- Chicago Dwayne Allen TE 51- Philadelphia Mohammed Sanu WR 52- Tennessee Alameda Ta'amu 53- Cincy Lamar Miller RB 54- Detroit Josh Robinson CB 55- Atlanta- Andre Branch DE 56- Pittsburgh- Brandon Boykin CB 57- Denver Bobby Massie OT 58- Houston Rueben Randle WR 59- Green Bay Jayron Hosley CB 60- Baltimore Jeff Allen OT 61- San Francisco Tyrone Crawford DE 62- NE- TY Hilton WR 63- NYG- George Iloka S
  2. Dolis is the guy I expect to grow into it.
  3. Love his bat. I've watched him attempt to plan 3B though and it's not pretty. He seems to be rising up the boards, my guess is he winds up in the 15 to 25 range.
  4. If the one report I've read on Alex Wood is correct, I find it highly unlikely he's available to us in the comp round, but he seems like a "must have" if he is. Lefty with exploding 93-96 FB, hard curve, possible plus change. Deceptive delivery, needs a little better command and has some effort in his delivery. Still, has put up excellent numbers this year in the SEC.
  5. I know some here still think he's got a shot. But I'm sticking my fork in him.
  6. Win or lose, I just want to see Shark bounce back.
  7. I'm not even a fan of Mercilus but that would be a very solid draft.
  8. I'm still wondering why we haven't settled our compensation with the Pads more than why Boston will still trade with us.
  9. Some pitchers I would love to see us target with our supplemental rounders and hopefully 2nd and 3rd rounders as well. Brady Rodgers ASU Dylan Baker JUCO Branden Kline UVA Kevin Brady Clemson Martin Agosta St. Mary's Duane Underwood HS Mitchell Traver HS Cody Poteet HS Ty Hensley HS Taylore Cherry HS Ryan Burr HS Zac Eflin HS Carson Kelly HS Nick Travieso HS LHP Alex Wood Georgia LHP Brett Mooneyham Stanford Lots of these guys will be out there, maybe even a McCullers Jr. or a Sims, if their demands are too high. But the bottom line is it sets up very well for us to add some exciting pitching to our system, in the early rounds.
  10. My guess is they want to get Burke as many innings as they can and get him to Daytona quickly. We need to know what we've got here, because if we don't add him to the 40 man at the end of the year, he can walk.
  11. At 43, if he's out there, I'd love Alex Wood. Lefty power pitchers are rare enough, he'd be a hell of a get.
  12. Callis likes Wacha more than most.
  13. I'm probably as confident as anyone here, that Brett becomes a building block for us. But putting up a .250 BA and an .800 OPS isn't enough to warrant a promotion. Not in the PCL. I'm completely fine with giving him half a season there and bringing him up around the ASB.
  14. Even with the injury, Smoral is expected to go inside the top 20. Hensley may be available in the supplemental, but if not, there definitely will be plenty of high school arms to choose from.
  15. I'm on my cell, so I can't post a link, but MLB.com has their list of the top 20 July 2nd prospects.
  16. Having 2 Brandon Marshalls running around in an opponents secondary would be an absolute nightmare for opposing teams.
  17. I can't believe him and Angelo still hang their hats on the whole character crap. To me, it shows they aren't even good at it, when you get into a Sam Hurd situation, among others from their regime. So glad they're gone.
  18. By the way, didn't see this anywhere, but McNutt got put on the 7 day DL with blisters again. Wonderful.
  19. We have 8 mill as our allotment, so we have 400K to spend over that, without getting penalized, other than monetarily. I feel confident that we'll take that penalty too. It'll be 300K. This first draft will be a crapshoot for sure though. Probably a lot of improvising, while seeing what teams behind us are doing. My guess is we will take a couple of easy sign type seniors, to give us more money to play around with. The bottom line though, is even if we do these things, it's probably only going to net us one more player.
  20. Next year, with the IFA budgets ranging from 1.8 to 5 mill, I wonder when that money can start being traded around? A team will be able to acquire through trade, up to half their allotment. I know this is a very random place to bring this up, but since we're talking 2013 draft, I thought it made sense here. If we're bottom 5, I'd expect us to be sitting on 4.5 mill or so. And would think we'd try our best to add as much extra as possible too. Maybe even to the extent that we hold on to a couple of trade pieces for this particular reason, if budgets can be dealt starting this off-season.
  21. At this point, I like where we are with position players, especially if we wind up getting Soler. But, after McNutt, who has serious question marks himself, I hate our pitching. Wells and Maples are a long ways away and Concepcion is an unknown. I really hope we spend at least 3 of our first 4 picks on pitchers.
  22. I think we want someone to just take Wells off our hands. I seriously doubt he'll be tendered by us next season anyway. My honest guess is we'll have to eat some cash to move him anyway. He's the personification of "just a guy".
  23. Baez is in a 13 at bat hitless streak, but I feel pretty confident that he will be out of it inside of two weeks. I hope Hernandez breaks out and makes this a non discussion honestly, because he IS our best shot at finding a guy that moves Castro off SS.
