  1. I was at both. And still have nightmares.
  2. Is that a lazy play by Antti not getting up, or could he not find the puck?
  3. I was at the game today and my reception was great
  4. JR should have stepped aside and let Jordan buy the team from him. And just to show even more loyalty, JR should probably have given him a nice deal too, because of all Jordan's done for the Bulls. And remember when Pip said he wanted to coach and the Bulls didnt take him seriously and hired VDN? Well they should have just hired Pippen on the spot when he made those quotes. Did Wade stop to consider that Johnny Kerr was the team's broadcaster for like 30 years, Norm Van Lier was a longtime pre and postgame commentator for Sportschannel/Fox Sports Chicago/CSN Chicago (while not directly affiliated with Bulls, I'm sure the Bulls had something to do with that), Bob Love still has a job with the organization, John Paxson was the radio color guy, then our GM and now a VP, Bill Cartwright was given a chance to be the coach, Scottie Pippen was resigned to finish his career in Chicago, Bill Wennington is the radio color guy, Pete Myers is a longtime assistant coach. I'm sure there are still some I am missing. Lindsay Hunter was brought back to the front office. So was John Paxson. And Bill Cartwright got a shot at coaching. Randy Brown is the Director of Player Development I'm pretty sure.

  6. Is it really that hard? MJ is a notable exception, but was him not getting involved the Bulls' fault? Pippen wanted to coach, but isn't good enough. (He also wanted to be a color man and sucked). They actually brought Scottie back to the organization even though he was way past his prime just so he could retire as a Bull. Besides, the Bulls have hired plenty of ex-players over the years -- I don't think Wade's comments are warranted.
  7. Wade says he's going to talk to LBJ and JJ about their futures. He also ripped the Bulls for not being a loyal franchise. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=5224873
  8. To be fair, if Jersey misinterpreted "make some noise," then so did I. To me, "make some noise" doesn't mean "be one of the top few teams in the league." It means surprising some people and maybe winning a game or two in the playoffs.
  9. He'll fit right in with Cutler and Noah
  10. Probably steroid-related. Shouldn't have a heart attack at that age. RIP
  11. Well, with a fresh start, maybe he won't be worse than Grabow. I'm just afraid he becomes Lou's guy because he doesn't walk anyone.
  12. Uh, what? You'd rather the Cubs just looked like crap for the rest of the game? I rather lose convincingly than via a walk-off. You're going to have to help me here...how is losing 4-1 more "convincing" than losing, say, 5-4 on a walk off? It doesnt matter if you win by an INCH or a mile...
  13. He played last night in St. Louis and was booed. TBFIB continue to defend their throne!
  14. As much as we complain, I find it hard to believe that Hendry doesn't know that Grabow is better vs. RHB... the guy used to be a scout.
  15. Well, at least they're booing a guy who struck out twice and GIDP twice. Could be worse. Actually I was talking about them boo'ing Betancourt for throwing to 1st base to keep Castro close Fans always boo when an opposing pitcher throws to first .... and I have no idea why. Because it slows down the game and usually happens when their team is rallying
  16. You forgot Rick Sutcliffe, Eric Karros and Mike Krukow. Is Milo Hamilton still doing Astros games? Announcers fall into 3 categories: 1. Legendary- one's that have been around so long that few dare to question their ability 2. Tolerable- Len and Bob fall in this category 3. awful- pretty much everyone else I agree for the most part, but what about someone like Pat Hughes? He's a damn good PBP guy and one of the best in the business, imo (great voice, knowledge of the game/sports in general, knows when to shut up and when to talk, can manage his color guy, has a few unique things no one else does) but he's not legendary
  17. It's surprising because I don't really see how we can be worse than last year -- unless we're bitten by the injury bug.
  18. If true, then I want no part of Cal. He's not some ungodly coach. I read that as WWW and his teams hasn't talked to any teams about that package YET, for obvious reasons. I think it will happen (WWW selling James/Cal combo) but not till the end of the season). I was more interested in the bolded part above. I only want Cal if it's the only way we're getting LeBron. There are better coaching options out there.
