  1. That bulls team would shoot 80 FTs per game
  2. lol Yeah I laughed so hard out loud at that one.
  3. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-wadelebronbulls072010 Wade and LBJ on the Bulls???
  4. KC Johnson reporting Bulls are going after the Cavs tomorrow -- meaning they're going last. Good sign?
  5. Deng makes twice as much as those guys And he's twice as good. Then his deal doesn't look better. I believe he meant it's looking better than it once did.
  6. I'd probably watch it. What's the problem there? Did you have a problem with Eric Karros recording events around the Cubs in 2003? Was he being an arrogant prick? I don't feel one way or the other, but you're not making an apples-to-apples comparison: Karros was making a doc around his team, not around him and his role in selecting a team.
  7. He probably is a good guy. And to his credit, trades aren't the reason why he's a bad GM -- I'd say he's actually in the black on that front. It's his vision for the team and FA signings that make him suck.
  8. Maybe it isn't real, but he and Wade have been arrogant pricks since this kicked off, in my estimation. In what way? I mean...tweeting too much? Other than that, what have they done? Those "people" in the Miami organization are going to get overridden...Miami won't pass on Bosh if they can get him. I heard Wade brought his own camera crew to his meeting with the bulls and is creating a documentary on the process.
  9. Did you stay in midtown and/or times square area? yes - almost all of my experience in nyc is midtown/edge of times square. next time i'm out there, you'll have to show me where they hide all the pretty ladies. I was there last weekend and it was unreal. We spent time in upper west side, lower east side, tribeca, and chelesa I think. Top-notch.
  10. PER: Harris: 16.2 Lopez: 20.1 Rose: 19.4 Noah: 17.9 Yes, there were injuries involved and PER doesn't tell the whole story, but it's not as much of a difference as a lot of people think.
  11. We want prenup!
  12. If he was going to stay with Cleveland, I don't know why he wouldn't have already done that. Who knows? I never said he has made his final decision. Maybe he just wants to see exactly what kind of other situations are out there. Or maybe he loves all of the attention -- if he goes back to Cleveland for a 3-year deal, they'll love him more than ever before and he looks like an all-around good guy.
  13. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicagobears/post/_/id/4665093/trade-for-chargers-wr-jackson-intriguing =P~
  14. Nono, he was signing "Go Cubs Go" but he was drunk and probably joking.
  15. How big was the screw? Did he force it in her mouth?
  16. Actually, yes I do think that. Because, especially if Kobe gets one more ring, every mention of Kobe's greatness is going to compare him to Jordan. And people are going to say that Jordan did it without a true big man in the middle. Yeah, cause Scottie Pippen was dog [expletive] Pippen wasn't a big man. Who cares? Why do Kobe's rings mean nothing because he had a really good big man, but Jordan's are immaculate because his 2nd best player was a SF? Oh right, cause IT'S MICHAEL!!! There are very few teams that have won multiple titles without a good big man (not none, but very few). And none that have been so dominant over a 10 year stretch that I can think of off the top of my head. I don't see how that's blatant Jordan homerism.
  17. I didn't miss it. Your point was Steinbrenner is a meddling owner and meddling owners are bad. My point was your point is full of [expletive]. Andy Pettitte has more world series rings than t's in his name. And it's not solely b/c they spend more than everyone else. The early Jeter teams weren't that expensive. I want an owner who is more concerned with winning than making a profit. I want an owner who is not afraid to put people on notice for poor performance. I don't want a country club type who yucks it up in the bleachers than goes on vacation during the middle of his first season. And I don't particularly care that there are other "family members". He's the CEO. I was almost positive you were exaggerating until I checked it myself. Didn't realize he had five... unbelievable.
  18. I've loved the few people who still insist on mentioning that they think soccer is stupid when they see me in my world cup craze. Hey guy, I couldn't give a s. I used to concern myself with things like "why don't people like soccer?" or "how can I get more people to like soccer?" but now I don't care. We're a large enough community to matter on a global scale, our players are good enough to matter on a global scale and everyone who isn't on board now is just missing out. I can only imagine how exciting this would be for a new fan who just now discovered this US team. For a real sports fan, it's gotta be like hearing Bob Dylan or Wu Tang for the first time. It's just awesome. Agreed. I really could care less about how big soccer is in the US anymore. I'm sick of seeing tons of articles written about it everywhere. Every 4 years, its the same crappy recycled stories. To be truthful, soccer really will become big when people stop questioning its popularity. If you are a journalist and a soccer fan, good write about it. If you don't like soccer, that's fine just ignore it. Also you are right, the US fans brought the most people out of any country to SA. Maybe our whole country doesn't stop what they are doing for a US world cup game, but the US has a huge fanbase and it makes itself known. I see people in the streets wearing USA jerseys on game day, I hear the same people who jumped on the blackhawks bandwagon a few weeks ago talk about where they are going to watch the game. Girls too. It's popular enough that I don't give a [expletive] anymore. I know I'm not as hardcore as US and soccer10k and the rest of the frequent posters in the soccer thread, but I consider myself more than a casual fan. And as that, I take a ton of pride in seeing this team play like it has. =D>
  19. AHHHHHHHHHHHH YES!
  20. I'm more embarrassed for FIFA than I am for USMNT
  21. GIVE ME A BREAK
  22. Go Slovenia?
  23. Waste of a free kick.
  24. That's bull. Where's our PK
