Exactly. The games are already bloated with dead time. There's no point in adding anymore when you basically gain nothing because most calls are either moot to the outcome or inconclusive on replay or both. I'm willing to endure the occasional waste of four minutes if it allows for the obviously incorrect call to be overturnable whenever it does occur. And most of them are closer to 2 and a half minutes as well. And Kyle, I think you're overstating how many replays are truly inconclusive. You said "most" of them. I'd probably say, like, I don't know, 20% of them. There doesn't need to be any massive overhaul to making them quicker outside of the people in NY making the call faster. If we can tell after 2 or 3 looks it's inconclusive, they can too. Also, I don't know why the umps need to run back and forth to headsets and everything. Just have them buzz in the call to someone in the dugout and have them give a right or wrong signal, and resume play asap with everyone already in their correct positions. It takes Joe West about a minute to jog 10 feet.
