  1. I've gotten Burrito bowls from chipotle 3-4 days a week for about 4 years. You can do the math on that, I prefer not to think about it.
  2. Not to be that guy, but Jake's got a pretty big glob of something on his hat that he keeps going to after every pitch. I couldn't care less but I've started to see a few complaints on twitter.
  3. That pose is getting too close to Phillip Rivers territory.
  4. things one might say to make it obvious that they haven't been following the minors yeah thats why you've seen me in the minor league game threads more than these game threads the last 3 years i check the minor league boxes. i don't see the highlights or check spray charts. then you're doing it wrong because that's the best part Highlights are for the lazy. I drove up with a few friends too see Kane County earlier in the year and was streaming the Iowa game from my phone during the KC game. Apparently there were a few other die hards there and we had a few small huddles to watch Bryant AB's while observing Schwarber dongs out of the peripheral.
  5. I swear I saw him wince when he crossed home.
  6. Along those lines, I saw this advertisement awhile back and it took me a few good minutes to realize this wasn't a picture of Ronald Torreyes.
  7. Masterson is spewing sweat like a water fountain.
  8. Baez/Almora/Vizcaino get us close? I'd think you'd probably need to swap Vizcaino for Edwards, but that would be the general blueprint. One of Castro, Baez, Russell; One of Almora/Alcantara; Edwards and fodder would be my guess.
  9. I wonder if Callis is reconsidering the number 54 ranking.
  10. Coghlans up there. How often would you say Castro makes one of these giant mental mistakes? Once every 10 games? 15? Considering all of the other awesomeness he provides, who gives a [expletive]?
  11. Marty Brennamen was just on Kap and Haugh and ripped Castro harder than Kaplan. I feel like they're screening calls so it seems like everyone agrees with Kaplan but it's probably just the Cubs.comers that call in there.
  12. It's more Kaplan is a douche for instigating the anti-Castro movement on-air and on Twitter after everything that's happened. Castro probably didn't watch the ball because of recent events, but he's been fine lately and all things considered, Kaplan could've/should've mentioned it once and let it go. Not lead into the damn postgame with it.
  13. Kyle, troll him while he still has a twitter.
  14. It kind of looks like a squished dong head on Jay and a cameltoe on Stafford.
  15. Wooooooo.
  16. And another easy way to shorten the replay time is to simply have one person assigned to watch each game. I don't think they look at things until the manager officially challenges and then things get started in NY. WGN has probably shown the replay four times by the time Renteria slow jogs out and gets the thumbs up or down from the dugout.
  17. Exactly. The games are already bloated with dead time. There's no point in adding anymore when you basically gain nothing because most calls are either moot to the outcome or inconclusive on replay or both. I'm willing to endure the occasional waste of four minutes if it allows for the obviously incorrect call to be overturnable whenever it does occur. And most of them are closer to 2 and a half minutes as well. And Kyle, I think you're overstating how many replays are truly inconclusive. You said "most" of them. I'd probably say, like, I don't know, 20% of them. There doesn't need to be any massive overhaul to making them quicker outside of the people in NY making the call faster. If we can tell after 2 or 3 looks it's inconclusive, they can too. Also, I don't know why the umps need to run back and forth to headsets and everything. Just have them buzz in the call to someone in the dugout and have them give a right or wrong signal, and resume play asap with everyone already in their correct positions. It takes Joe West about a minute to jog 10 feet.
  18. Replay is glorious. Everything can be improved, but if it takes 4 minutes (and that's one of the worst case time scenarios) to create equilibrium, it's worth it.
  19. He can't hit in the daytime, so he creates artificial darkness. Damnit, had that backwards.

  21. http://interact.stltoday.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1045335 Mostly only one guy being unreasonable, but complete with some utility infielder predictions, awful makeup proclamations, "he dogs it too much" inferences, and someone randomly saying his career minor league average is .250. edit: another http://interact.stltoday.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1044618
  22. You probably shouldn't since it's postponed
  23. He's been much better than I expected. Haven't been paying attention closely but I caught a 92 on the gun last inning.
