    Sidetracking, but I probably take Zimmerman or Cueto over Price. I don't know why I was thinking Cueto had a few inconsistent years recently, but I was definitely wrong. Holy crap has he been filthy dominant for 4 straight years.

    Not really Not to get into semantics, but Not really I came back here to argue with you but I guess I didn't realize that Steamer had projected 13 HR for Mendy. Sexy. Mendy hit 10 for us last year in 70 games while struggling badly at times; I'd put 13 on the very low end for projections.

    What are we expecting Anderson to get out of curiousity? 1 yr at 5 million with a few more million in incentives?

    Didn't say anything about another SP signing, unless I missed it. Would be silly not to look to add a few more wins as we currently sit in the mid 80's projection-wise. At least Anderson. Yeah, Hoyer made it sound like we do have a little more payroll flexibility left and I can't imagine it's all going to Gomes.

    Bystro says the Cubs aren't going to be trading any of their hitting prospects (Baez) and made it sound like there won't be much more to talk about. Mentioned Gomes. Said no Hamels (not that anyone was expecting it). I still think something halfway intersting could happen via trade (re: Welly), but it's starting to sound like there won't be much more.

    There is no way they trade someone as valuable as him and not get one of Russell, Bryant, or Soler. They would get ripped to shreds. Your trade also involves like 9 players from us. I know a Harper trade would be unique, but THAT many players almost never go in a single deal. They would have to want quality over quantity .

    He was hitting baseballs at an above-average MLB ability level before he was old enough to buy beer. Like Starlin Castro. With 80 raw power.
