    I don't disagree with that assessment, but my point still stands lol. You definitely wish they'd take a smart caller or two every once in awhile instead of screening for asshats, but that's their schtick.

    Yeah, I saw the Chicago Sports News tweet, but I think they are in the educated guesses business. All of their sourced stuff usually comes right after a real source says something about another team being out, etc. At least I think.

    There's a lot of buzz that Knighton to the Raiders was false and that the Bears are a finalist. Who are you following for that? Twitter search Terrance Knighton. But Leming, Dickerson, Troy Renck, Adam Hoge. And some Raiders reporters denied they were close to a deal last night.

    This is probably the year we take a pitcher, but Dansby Swanson is really good, off to a huge start, and just sounds like a prototypical Theo guy regarding makeup.

    yay There was a Javy video/interview I just watched where he mentioned Mallee coming down to work with him in the PR and then he casually mentioned that Manny went down there to help him as well.

    I still think Russell at 3rd makes the most sense and that he can go all Machado (defensively) over there. Plus you can let him beef up a bit like he did in high school and hopefully maximize his power potential even more. It's not like Javy's a bad option at 3rd, but I think he fits best at 2nd where he can still use his range but cut down on the erratic throws. Definitely a bit of wasted arm strength with him at 2nd, but you're going to have to make a bit of a sacrifice with whomever you put there.

    Positive prediction: Addison Russell starts off hot at AAA and gets promoted much sooner than people expect with the Cubs looking competitive. Makes his debut in late May (at 3rd). Negative prediction: Arrieta's big bump in usage of the slider/cutter (slutter?) continues, and while he's good because of it, he battles arm injuries on and off all year and can't shoulder a massive workload. But hopefully he's just a lumberjack hoss and the increased stress on the arm doesn't mean squat.
