  1. Lol, Yeah I've had those load as just a blank spot every now and again (on my phone though).
  2. Probably not the biggest deal, but a very small part of the thinking with Almora could be to have him room with Russell since they know each other and Russell has said it was kind of tough not knowing anyone here. Soler was with rooming with him currently.
  3. SOUNDS LIKE SHARMA'S SUPER SECRET SCOUTING SOURCES WERE ONTO SOMETHING lol
  4. Given that this article was just posted tonight, I take it CSN misread it (or only read the first two sentences). Highly doubt they are calling him up. http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox/white-sox-prospect-carlos-rodon-make-pro-debut-next-week
  5. I miss the old days when there was that glitch and you could see the expletives when you quoted the post.
  6. Almora got tossed in case anyone sees he left the game and gets scared.
  7. Tennessee postponed, DH tomorrow. Boo.
  8. I don't think you're going to get many people agreeing with any decent package for Price, since: A) He's a pitcher who has had random velocity drops in the past, and as we've seen this year, gambling on a pitchers health is extremely risky. B) He's going to cost a bajillion dollars to extend and he will probably be on the other side of his prime soon enough. C) Soler (even with his contract) and Alcantara are going to be so cheap. D) He's still a pitcher. I think we can entertain the discussion if you're talking about consolidating some high ceiling prospects into Stanton or another hitter to mitigate the risk of one of them flaming out, but Price doesn't do it for me. I think the chance he flames out is just as high as Soler or Alcantara flaming out, and that's before we get into the fact that we'll be paying him 25 million a year or whatever he gets. We're going to have a boatload of money to spend soon, and if we want to try handing out a big deal for a pitcher, we can do that in free agency. No need to give up two cost controlled pieces just for the right to give a pitcher a megadeal.
  9. Holy [expletive] the side view of Soler's first homer looked like the pulled version of Stanton's against us.
  10. Baez getting all of the name recognition on the ESPN MLB front page: http://espn.go.com/mlb/
  11. Russell and Soler both 1-2 with a single, Russell's was an RBI.
  12. I'd like to see what would happen sometime if nobody tried restricting anyone when the benches clear. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ginuVD2oGJA/U1PRDdk5XfI/AAAAAAAAKfs/9Qy9yiivAxY/s1600/Seinfeld+Slap+Fight.gif
  13. It's all in good fun (from me at least), I just found it hilarious that that was the first thing on my newsfeed after reading the latest posts in this thread.
  14. I used to enjoy following and reading Brett's stuff. I realize its mostly other writers articles that he just expands on, but the amount of content he posted was nice. Now...not sure what hes going for other than Parks' affection. Sharma is trying so hard for people like Parks to like him that he's fallen into the same trap. Sharma makes a strong move, but Brett answers back and remains strongly in the lead for Parks' affection.
  15. Muskat now resorting to tweeting out Rizzo pictures with cancer children for sympathy votes.
  16. i get that you're making fun, but honestly, it's so sad that guys like sullivan, rogers, rogers, telander, haugh, morrissey, muskat, etc. have actual jobs and he can't find one. i mean, most of that list is HOF of terrible worthy. hey! I like David Haugh. wtf he was fine as a bears beat writer awful ever since he was given free rein to write about anything, including his opinion That dolt's first question to K.C. Johnson on the day of the NBA draft was "What percentage chance is Carmelo Anthony wearing a Bulls uniform by the time this night's over, K.C?"
  17. Hope I'm reading this wrong but the box score makes it look like Almora got pulled.
  18. In the 1.5 seconds it took me to see Snydergaard randomly turned pretty awful this year, I see i'm late to the party on Aiken already being broken before he signed.
  19. Iowa on the phone, Tennessee on the computer. The equivalent of double fisting.
  20. Orioles' fans reactions after Shark shut down a team from the almighty A.L. East: http://thegboatdotnet.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/mind-blown1.gif?w=479
