  1. he's got one of the best arms in the game, 2B would be a tremendous waste of his talent. i think he could be consistently near +10 in RF
  2. i'll happily take the over for 3.1 wins with anybody who's willing to wager
  3. ideally, we'd just move Colvin for Alex Gordon to free a spot for BJ in that scenario (and Fuku to the Sox for something like Bowden)
  4. wow, i just noticed the Giants traded Francisco Liriano and Joe Nathan for A.J. Pierzynski. that turned out to be a really solid deal for them. and the Giants got a really poor return on Pierzynski when they let him walk a year later.
  5. i'm pretty sure i remember Hollinger say that if David Lee could develop a 10-footer he'd be a hall of fame player
  6. maybe it's #2 and they're targeting Ilya
  7. Ivan Vishnevskiy (their #2 prospect) and a 2nd rounder
  8. TSNBobMcKenzie: Darren Dreger reports Andrew Ladd is an Atlanta Thrasher.
  9. Hamhuis to Vancouver @ $4.5m per @Jay_Grossman: Volchenkov closed to being finalized with NJD. 6 yrs. term
  10. 4 @ $1.65M per for Boogard that has to be a joke
  11. yeah, you're right i misread it LeBrun says Pitt & LA are the front runners for Martin
  12. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/globe-on-hockey/2010-nhl-free-agency-live-blog/article1625654/
  13. Paul Martin to Pitt, per Bob McKenzie on Twitter
  14. better Leighton than Turco at 2-3x the price, that's for sure
  15. wow they're going to have such a deadly PP with Karlsson and Gonchar on the point
  16. http://i50.tinypic.com/vgpufs.jpg
  17. Lundqvist Rask Halak Vokoun Bryzgalov and maybe Hiller are guys i probably like better than Nabokov and Luongo
  18. i wouldn't be too shocked to see Soriano moved to 1B to make room for Colvin only, the terrifying aspect of that is the assumption management would have that he could never make the switch back to the OF in the future
  19. if he finishes the no-hitter, he'll definitely be over 150 pitches, just insane
  20. he totaled ~18 wins in value over 6 seasons, with his worst two years being only slightly below average as a player i don't know how i can phrase that for you without getting caught in a fruitless semantics argument, but nonetheless it's more than fair to call him a consistent 3-win player
  21. But again, it's not that he gave up future hall of famers. He gave up valuable trade pieces for a useless player. he was a consistent 3 win player, far from useless
  22. Nolasco...hasn't been all that great, and Pierre's comp pick helped us get Harden that trade, and even more so Pierre's tenure, has been so stupidly sensationalized
