    find a way to win game 4 and the path becomes clear It's kind of weird how it matches up with the Red Sox in 2004. Playing a division winning NY team as the WC team. Both teams started their best two pitchers in Games 1 and 2 (Lester/Arrieta, Schilling/Pedro). Both teams starting a weaker starter in Game 4 (Lowe an 89 ERA+, Hammel 105). Both teams have best two pitchers set up for Games 5 and 6. Long World Series drought. So I guess Quentin Berry stars in the role of Dave Roberts? :)

    I don't get Mets fans and their need to be aggressive. Even my good friends at work who are Mets fans, guys I get along great with, are snarky and aggressive about their team. These are the same dudes who gave up on them in June and said it was all over, time to start following the Jets offseason.

    Just saw a dude in the supermarket wearing a Rizzo jersey, right here in the middle of Mets country. That has to be a good sign, no?

    weather forecast for NY looks like high 40s on Sat and Sunday. High of 52 and low of 37 on Sunday, for example. Stupid question, but could the cold weather affect our dongs?

    I work with quite a few Mets fans and they are all good friends of mine, good people. But I think that is more a function of the professional setting of my office. The rest of the fan base, well, it is Queens, which thanks God every day for Staten Island.

    Shoulda spent more time watching homers and less time with the lady. more time watching dongs less time using them you literally play no part in the birthing process. that's all on the old lady and the doctors. True but I doubt that argument's gonna get him a hall pass from the birthing class tonight :)

    He's such a giant turd. He ALWAYS called Maddux Maddox and I still want to punch him in the face for it. Did you see where his sidekick has taken to sarcastically calling Maddon "the Genius"? Those two are perfect for Cardinal nation.

    Watching the game with my elderly dad and I yelled F**K really loud on the HR without thinking about it

    One of my all-time favorite moments ever was when Arrieta immediately stole second. That was hilarious and a total John Wayne moment: "You want a piece of me pilgrim?" Dex's liner was sinking too, and the beaning almost cost the Pirates a run, which would have been doubly hilarious.

    The IT guy here said he turned it off after they went down 1-0. "So done with this team" A coworker "knew they were going to lose" anyway so she's not that upset. In honor of your gif: Take me out to the ballgame Pick me up off the ground. Give me a cast and a morphine drip I tend to fall when my skull takes a hit, So it's suit, suit, suit, call my lawyer, If I don't win it's a shame. But we all know it's just for fun At the old ballgame!

    Nope. They won 97 freaking games while leading the league in k's. Hey I gotta be concerned/nervous Nellie about something, I am a Cubs fan!

    Is anyone else concerned about the Cubs' high propensity to strike out and how that might affect this game? I think that is a big concern in the post season.

    Did Papelbon kill Harper? Hahahahahaah! I get your point but without Harper the Nats would just suck more. Without Jake, would the Cubs be anywhere near the playoffs?

    I would be all down for Jake as MVP at this point. Name another National League player that has been so valuable to his team.

    I know early in the season Lilly mostly just walked around the bleacher construction without a hard hat on. Not sure where where he's been lately. Didn't he have some huge tax evasion charge? He might be in white collar resort prison by now. I think it was insurance fraud.
