if it's any consolation, I read recently that the great Detroit Tigers of 1984, that started off 35-5, were actually only 4.5 games up at one point after that crazy start. Then they recollected themselves and kicked it in again.
Isn't this the pitcher he was in Baltimore though? Finding the most unfavorable combination of starts that we can(aside from silliness like his last 1 start), Arrieta has a 3.73 ERA(including the 2 ER/1 IP today). This is bad Arrieta and it is still a huge difference from his Baltimore days. Yes I didn't mean in terms of results, I meant good stuff/poor command.
I'll cut him a break, he had to use relievers for 19 innings in this series. Given his bullpen management abilities, that's like asking me to breathe underwater for 9 hours. I was referring to his comments where he was b*itching about Kyle's bunt. Hence the KB beaning. It was a stupid reason to order a beaning
Bryan Price is an idiot. Maddon was supposed to just send Kyle up to meekly make an out? Has he noticed we have had bullpen issues and need insurance runs?
Concerned about Hendricks pitch count here a bit, after last night. Puts pressure on the offense to blow it open early. I don't trust Kyle with a high pitch count in this ballpark.
