    For the past month, Bryant has put up a .592 wOBA. Just to get an idea, in his GOAT 2002 season, Barry Bonds had 1 month with a higher wOBA (.609). edit: Sorry, can't help myself.

    The centerpiece of a trade being a 23 yr old who isn't missing AA bats does not excite me. Samardzjia is under contract to pitch in Chicago for next year as well. Seems like this is the kind of return expected if they dealt him next summer.

    He has the highest wOBA (.515) of any player at any level of baseball (min 100 PA). Higher than Tulo, Puig, Gallo, Peterson, etc.

    Yeah thats the one question i had about the trades he proposed. Love is the best available asset in basketball and there are several teams that have a need for him, and assets, and are preferred Love destinations. Minnesota is not going to trade him for Taj Gibson (29 next month), Mike Dunleavy Jr (34 years old by next seasons start) and a bunch of late 1st round picks. It would almost certainly be 2 or all 3 of Butler, Mirotic, Gibson, and 1st round picks, and that still might not be enough. Regardless, I'd do it if it meant acquiring love and anthony. The only other team that can really offer anything is Phoenix. The TWolves do not have much leverage. Love is going to walk.

    Well, Barney does have more success against Stults than probably any other pitcher he's ever faced. 5-10 with all 5 hits for extra bases.

    I know they want to keep Bryant at the same level for awhile but it's clear he is ready for the next step.

    It was due to being hit by a comebacker, nothing structural. He's just pitched the other day and the numbers looked fine.
