what? lieber was legitimately really [expletive] good Yeah not sure what I was remembering there, ah well He was excellent in his first stint with the Cubs. When he came back in '07 (?), I think he was pretty much done.
I think Justin Upton is possibly due for a big 2nd half. He is hitting RHP better than ever this season and has strangely struggled in a small sample against LHP. Likely to normalize, I believe.
Long time poster @ cubs.com. I was CruzWood, then, I believe. There were a couple of good posters on the site but a ton of trolls. I believe Tim was SanClementeFan over there and I followed him here.
I feel like Olt has as much power potential as anyone, really. He put up OBPs of over .390 throughout the minors. I'm not saying he hits his ceiling often, I'm just saying it's a damn high ceiling.
If this happens they are going to win 100. Olt's potential to me is a.380 OBP and 35+HRs. Put that in here: Fowler CF Castro 2B Rizzo 1B Bryant LF Soler RF Olt 3B Russell SS Montero C That's absolutely disgusting.
I really feel like we need all of our bigs but if I had to trade one it would be Pau. Offensively he's been great but his rotations on defense are quite bad. Makes it very difficult for others to keep up defensive intensity when Pau is glued to one spot on the floor. I think the offense would suffer some but we would almost always have incredible defense on the floor. Butler and Mirotic would keep us from being too one-dimensional.
I was briefly obsessed with La Stella and his K/BB rates last year. He has a career 102/136 K/BB in the minors and had almost a 1:1 ratio in his rookie season. You very rarely see that.
I'm quite surprised Noah's head didn't explode upon hearing this ****. The recent quotes from Thibs along the lines of "If he can play he's got to play" make a lot more sense now.
