    I don't think it's a bad idea. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, obviously loves Wrigley and the fans, and he just seems like a genuinely good guy who wouldn't take criticism quite as personally as Crusty does. I say go for it.

    Micah. He's in AAA right now. Question for you: Any idea if the Ks are mostly looking or swinging? The rate since he got to AAA is awful high. Probably partially due to adjustment, but that is an alarming rate at 1 of every 3 ABs.

    When a fielder loses the ball in the sun or the light, it is scored as a hit almost 100% of the time. It's not a physical mistake like a fielding or throwing error is and doesn't count against the fielder for that reason.

    While it's obvious that you're being sarcastic, there are some on this board who lack the ability to detect sarcasm. Initially, those people will respond harshly to your post. Then, embarassed that they didn't immediately recognize that you weren't serious, they will criticize you for not using a smiley to indicate your lack of sincerity. In coming days, you will be told that your "sarcasm act" is getting old. Eventually your loyalty to the Cubs will be questioned, probably by a poster who lacks grammatical skills and whose screenname is a combination of a rather generic word and a number. Finally, there will be a call for you to take an "absolute psychological test" to prove you can handle the pressures of posting despite your track record that shows you excel at such an activity. Be careful. Is somebody cranky this morning?????? (And for your benefit :D )

    Who else you gonna run out there until the injured guys get back? Nobody else has done anything to warrant getting the spot. neither has rusch. I'd give Ryu another start. Hell, I'd give him 4 or 5 more starts. But it seems as the Cubs and many of the people on this board wouldn't. Well until Prior is ready I'd like to see Ryu continue to get starts or another prospect, we might as well give a guy a chance to prove himself and not just judge him after one outing especially with the wind blowing out But do you do that, he continues to struggle, and loses all confidence? Just being the devil's advocate. If he can go out there with composure and keep the ball down he may be all right.
