  1. It's more like, if your aunt stopped dressing your cousin up as a girl and making him play with dolls he'd look more like a boy. That may be one of the best analogies I've ever seen. Although I think you switch out dome for an O-line that isn't awful.
  2. No, we just won't get a shot off in the last 5 minutes because we have a 7 point lead and go into stall mode.
  3. It really is amazing to watch all of those and see how much just a little hesitation or jab step in the right direction throws the coverage off just enough and sets up the blocks so he can get through. His vision on those play is just amazing too, there's a couple end zone shots where there's no room and he squeezes right through just as a hole opens up.
  4. I'm taking sedatives to relax that particular finger. By the way, the word is losing, not loosing in case you missed his point. :-" Boob Sanders tried to point that out, thank you. Still having trouble there I see. May need to up the dosage a bit!

  6. I think a lot of my concern came from the fact that I didn't think Cutler would make it through the season as bad as the line was expected to be. I'm fairly surprised they've come out as well as they have. The 2 early wins against the Packers and Cowboys were a bit surprising. Any and all concern was completely justified. This team could have fallen apart. But the ability to win a lot of games was always there and that is why I don't get people acting shocked that the Bears have 10 wins and already clinched. The only part of that I disagree with is the already clinched simply because both the Packers and Vikings were expected to have much better records than they do. The Vikings are just bad, but the Packers have clearly been killed by injuries and would probably have a couple more victories if not for all the guys they've had out.

  8. That throw can't be fully appreciated without seeing the end zone angle where it showed the ball going right between Henderson's ear hole and his hand. That ball literally couldn't have been more than an inch or 2 either way and still gotten to Davis. Just perfectly placed.
  9. Because it's cold and shitty and he wanted to get to the locker room to warm up and dry off.
  10. I think it's becoming obvious that the refs are under instructions to stop the play if the QB is anywhere close to being tackled. Cutler hasn't had that happen yet.
  11. That's terrible, but I laughed.
  12. Except he hasn't fumbled all season.
  13. This makes no sense to me. If they declare for the draft and hire representation then there's a lockout and new agreement with changes to rookie wages before the draft, aren't they also subject to the new wage scale? I think this guy is talking about just acting as an unpaid adviser. And all he's suggesting is that they get into the NFL and on somebody's payroll so that when that first contract is up and the guy is an FA, they're 24 or 25 in stead of 25 or 26 and have an extra year of earning potential. How that actually works out for anybody, who knows, but it makes sense to have one less year of unpaid mileage on the body, especially for linemen and running backs who get the crap beat out of them on every play.
  14. Al Michaels all but guaranteeing a pick 6 with the no turnovers talk.
  15. This may be the first post I've ever seen on here advocating killing children. Interesting.
  16. Sweet!
  17. And Matt Flynn is throwing the ball like hes a top flight QB in the league. Yup perfect The Patriots secondary is pretty [expletive]. That long TD pass was a really good throw. It helped the safety took out the other DB, but it was still just about perfect.
  18. There isn't anything much better than a fat guy in the open field. That was awesome!
  19. Yeah, I heard him say that and just thought he meant an offensive coordinator in regard to Luck, but that does sound weirder now that I'm seeing it in print.
  20. Are you done yet? Anyway, because of the costs associated with making the field cold weather tolerant I can understand, but it can't be that much more expensive to have concession stands that can operate in cold temps. That just seems weird to me. Are they sticking with the no alcohol policy that I think I heard earlier this week?
  21. What's the problem with McCarthy? He seems to have done a pretty decent job keeping things together even with all the injuries, aside from last week;s loss the the Lions. And that's not even looking that bad with their win @ TB today.
  22. Consensus is that it's a pretty great stadium. Opposite end of the spectrum from having to play in the dome for the Gophers. great in September and October, maybe. Seems completely inadequate in cold weather That's kind of like saying they botched Madison Square Garden because it's not suited for international soccer competitions. Or it's not like that at all considering it's an outdoor football stadium in freaking Minnesota. It gets cold up there pretty early. I was up there at the end of October and was pretty well bundled up when I went running and it got much colder a couple weeks after that when the Gophers were still playing. There's no reason for them not to have made some kind of plans to be prepared for cold or snowy weather.
  23. Bruce Weber is the worst D1 coach at drawing up out of bounds plays I've ever seen.
