The 81 HR allowed in 3 years is not a particularly good peripheral. Marquis might consider it good, as it would be an improvement over his last 3 years. Actually it wouldn't be, my math was wrong and Vasquez gave up 91 HR in the past 3 years. Well then they are pretty much even. I think I would rather have Marquis though. Yeah he was terrible last year, but he was actually one of the Cardinals more reliable starters the previous 2 years. He will never be great, but I see no reason why he cant get back to a 4.35-4.50 era with the Cubs.
