  1. *Concentrating* I see...Ice cream. Covered with... chocolate sprinkles...Double-Stuff Oreos...He... He's taking the top of one and...and he puts it together to make Quadruple-Stuffs! I see...ice cream, and sprinkles, and Quadruple-Stuffs! EDIT: But yeah. That was pretty cool. I also didn't think that Z should have started the ninth (and not just because I would look awesome), but I suppose that's like stopping a bull in heat. In all fairness, I did post it a half hour into the game. Although I hadn't been watching or listening or even Gamecasting. I was gonna give myself the award by default, but I guess I ended up pretty close. Seriously, I posted that in like 5 seconds....I just randomly guessed. Pretty neat. Not as neat as back in the race though. \:D/
  2. My mistake. Awards will be assigned correctly next time. And before the game gets going on too long, tonight we have Zambrano pitching. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_407296.jpg No real time to post previous starts.... Quick guesses. 8 IP, 115-74
  3. Well he turned out much better than most expected. 7 innings pitched, ONLY 70 pitches, 49 for strikes. WOW. Whey 2 goe Maddux! Looks like Mr. Wood is the winner for IP and strikes, and Dr. Cub for total pitches.
  4. I absolutely want him for next year. And I think he wants to come back as a Cub too. He doesn't really strike me as the kind of guy that would sell out the highest bidder. I think he really likes Chicago, and hopefully he feels like he owes us something. I would imagine he'd need days off as well, so Cedano could platoon with him.
  5. Tonight we have Greg Maddux pitching. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_118120.jpg His Previous starts include (in chronological order): 5 84-49 6 75-51 8 77-54 6 96-63 6 87-55 6 100-60 6.2 100-59 5 68-46 7 95-63 7.2 94-63 6 83-52 6 89-58 6.2 86-61 3.2 69-43 6 98-58 6 88-62 5 88-59 6 86-56 8 98-67 8 101-74 5 71-51 8 89-59 4 68-44 7 99-64 9 114-87 My guess would be 6.2 IP with 90-58
  6. :?: i heard it on the radio up until the 3rd inning..what happened to Ronny? Sorry the second I posted that I realized it might be taken seriously. I meant with all the runs.
  7. Any word on Santo's condition? I'm really worried. I bet he's having a scotch on the rocks right now.
  8. AT LEAST RUSCH COULD LOCATE HIS FASTBALL. #@$#ing absurd. Any news on that #1 draft pick?
  9. JESUS CHRIST. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO LEAVE GLENDON IN YOU PIECE OF AAA SNOT
  10. Looks like we were a little over the mark. 3 2/3. 92 pitches, 61 of them strikes. So I guess I win on the pitchcount.... :(
  11. Jesus stop the Glendon hating. Not only has he not pitched in a week but he hasn't started since June.
  12. Those are really really good points. Can I change my vote?
  13. As in how far will the Cubs starting pitching go into the game. Tonight we have Glendon Rusch making his first start since being sent back down into the bullpen. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/121556.jpg His previous starts include: MAY 07 PHI 4.2 82-51 MAY 13 @WAS 5.0 90-55 MAY 18 @PIT 6.0 99-59 MAY 23 HOU 8.0 108-69 MAY 28 COL 7.0 112-68 JUN 02 @SDN 9.0 122-81 JUN 07 TOR 6.0 104-60 JUN 12 BOS 5.2 114-79 JUN 18 @NYA 5.0 98-62 JUN 23 @MIL 6.0 103-62 My bet is on 5 IP with 90 pitches and 58 for strikes.
  14. HAhahaha. Walker's face is priceless.
  15. I reserve enthusiasm for the WC pending the outcome of the upcoming series with the Crapstros.
  16. I certainly hope Hendry doesn't leave.
  17. Hey Fred when was the last time the Cubs stole a base?
  18. BADUM-CHHHH
  19. Well it doesn't matter much anyway. Jim Hendry said on the Score this morning that Dusty would 'unequivocally' be the manager in 2006. So we might as well get used to it for another year.
  20. So...uh...with the cubs sucking and all.....anyone got tickets they want to part with?
  21. I'm 5' 7'' and 1/2. And yes, I make a point to mention that 1/2. Wow. Maybe you should get your picture taken next time with Eckstein. But seriously, that's a cool picture with Barrett. Did you get to talk to him at all?
  22. Z smokes the Cardinals. Let's make it two boys!
