  1. If the Sox blow that lead....I'm going to laugh for days. We'll be able to make fun of them for years. Sweet, sweet revenge.
  2. Barrett was also hitting in front of the pitcher more than half the year. That spot is always gonna draw lots of walks.
  3. I'd place that bet in a second.
  4. I don't think there was a poster here who could have predicted that JoBo and Da Farns would have done so well outside of Chicago. Having said that, I'm really happy with our people we 'let go'. I just wish we'd do it a bit more often (Macias anyone?)
  5. Interesting article, but I doubt that Matt Lawton is an 'interesting' addition. He's been just god-awful for the Yankees. He's already getting booed there.
  6. Actually Felipe was working for us. He put LaTroy in. Wow...another game that was a lot closer than it should have been. Stay tuned next week for another exciting installment of....Dusty Baseball! Will Murton EVER see the end of a game? Why is Corey Patterson still playing? How badly can a lineup be created? Why would Todd Walker bunt? When will we next be graced by Patterson's grimace after an absurdly bad swing?
  7. *consults Taro cards* 7 Innings, 115-65
  8. Another question Len: Why do they always show (on TV) Ron Santo in the booth, but never Pat Hughes? Is he camera-shy or is it something more sinister?
  9. :D Sorry I haven't been keeping up. Been really busy at my job. I'd say 6 2/3 with 115-75
  10. I think Hendry has finally accepted that Nomar is injury prone. One of those "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" moments.
  11. Silver lining in some of the Cubs starters not doing so well. The Pen is getting a lot of work and experience this year. Especially needed when some are so young. I like how our pen looks next year. Maybe hire a closer in Wagner or that other guy that everyone mentions.
  12. Hey Len, thanks for taking the time to answer these questions. You've been participant to a truly up and down season, yet you have to remain optimistic on the television the whole time. Is this ever difficult? I imagine it would be for me. What do you do to cope?
  13. ha ha Wow. I'm really starting to wonder how much money I'd put on Corey not being here next year. Certainly makes Dusty look like a fool.
  14. 20? Jeez. Good game though. Very exciting, especially those blown calls. Although I suppose we finally caught a break on that last pitch. Probably the home plate umpire feeling sorry for the bad calls. Anyone else see that amazing Edmonds catch? I know we blast the #$@$ out of him, but that was really a terrific catch.
  15. My god, we've only lead 11 times after 8 innings?
  16. http://www.4physics.com/giftwrap/imagesgw/balloon-celebration.jpg Huzzah!
  17. For the newbie here: How bad are Furcal's off-field antics? What has he done in the past?
  18. *continues to drool over Crawford*
  19. Thank you Hendry. 5 minutes in advance.
  20. *crosses fingers* No trade for Walker, no trade for walker...
  21. 22 wins. I called it furst!!1111
  22. Wow. The only word that come to mind are: "What could have been" Cedeno and Murton were amazing, as was the rest of the Cubs lineup. I mean, everyone was hitting well and playing good D. This is incredible. It's worth watching these games just to see Cedeno and Murton play.
