  1. Neither mlb.com or espn.com have splits from before 2002. I was looking for that too.
  2. Over the last three years, Lawton has had half the ABs after the All-Star break as he had before....
  3. I agree, I hope that Hendry signs him to another year. Until the coming of Pie correct?
  4. Lawton this year: RISP: .328/.388/.522 Leading off inning: .222/.335/.327 Close and Late: .321/.409/.536 Batting Leadoff: .279/.386/.465 OBP this year since All-Star Break: .397
  5. 8-4! We might just catch a break here.
  6. Go Mets go! (one of the few times I'll root for the mets)
  7. Wow. That sounds great! And thanks for posting that. Hopefully he can duplicate it.
  8. How Hendry manages to get these steals in such a dry market continues to amaze me.
  9. Can't we move him to Center and play Murton in left? BTW, he's much worse against lefties...
  10. Oh great. Welcome to the next reincarnation of Eric Gagne.
  11. Start Holly at first instead? That way you don't have to mess with the infield that much.
  12. Too bad about Murton's AB today. He was just WAY too anxious to hit the ball and win the game. He needs to keep in mind that the pitchers HAS to pitch strikes to him, because a walk would be just as good. Very high pressure situation for a rookie. Next time I'm sure he'll do better.
  13. Hi, thanks for answering these questions and welcome to our board! After both you and Murton were called up, I seem to remember reading an article about how surprised you both were to be called up, and that you were were both very surprised. Murton has been raking since he was called up. Are you and Murton going to have a batting competition once you get off the DL? Also, an article I read said that you are good at "timely bunts". How important would you say bunts are to a team's offensive punch?
  14. Uh....that's awful.
  15. I'm not so sure I want Murton replacing Burnitz. While he has been tearing this place up, he also hasn't been put in any tough spots in the lineup and doesn't have the experience that Burnitz brings with his excellent defense in right field. I remember Burnitz saying it was of the most difficult right fields to play in (Wrigely).
  16. Yar. Walker can get on base, talk a walk, and not strike out as much. Soriano will drive you batty with K's. When Nomar comes back I'd rather have Walker at 2nd and Murton in left than Soriano in left and Neifi at 2nd because you know that's what'll happen. No I was agreeing. Like a pirate. YAR.
  17. Our bullpen certainly needs some help. Anyone know if these guys are ready to call up anytime soon?
  18. Wow yeah. Manny's "bad defence" would not be a problem on the Chi Sox if he batted DH. I'll bet that's where he turns up. Kenny Williams ain't nobody's fool. He sees World Series this year, and I'm guessing he'll go for it.
  19. Wow. 11 pitches. Brad Lidge is a stud. Lastros win.
  20. Ugh. Piazza down on three. One out.
