Kinda like Blanco? *flashes membership badge*
  8. Nope. That's just awful in the long term.
  9. From the Cubs website:
  10. I felt bad as a Cubs Fan. This booing has got to stop. If you think that players are giving less than 100%, then go ahead. If it's friendly taunting chants from the bleachers, then fine. But that was awful. LaTroy is a person too, and don't think that he ever gave less than his best for Chicago. You think he wanted to suck? I remember hearing when Dusty told him he was traded, he didn't want to be. He wanted to stay and improve. He's been a Cubs fan since he was young. He has always kept his composure, never yelling back at fans or kicking fans. Yeah he sucked. Out loud. But don't think that he wanted to. Criticize him all you want. For instance the guy only throws fastballs for some reason. But he doesn't deserve the treatment he got at Wrigley.
  11. Yeah no $%#@. I was really surprised to se that happen. ESPECIALLY when he was leading off that inning.....I just don't understand that.
  12. This is why I don't always expect Aramis to leg it out. Frankly, he's had more than his share of strained and pulled muscles. Nothing to place him on the DL, but enough to take him out of some games. I'd rather see him be careful unless it's running on a sac fly.
  13. *hops on board* I love this kid. May Holly return to his true role!
  14. Excuse me God? Matt Clement is no longer a Cub. He's not supposed to get injured. Lets see: Greg Maddux: Narrowly avoids line drive at head Prior: Uh...yeah Dempster: Gets lined in arm Borowski: Injuries wrist (?) in Spring Training And that's just line drives. Chad Fox: Boom. Wood: Pop Zambrano: Keyboard Remlinger: Chair
  15. Remlinger had two scoreless inngings with one hit and no walks last night. Why would you release him?
  16. I want to hang onto Wood. Look at how Morris has come back. 11-2 before he ran into us. I'm optimistic he'll be usefull in '06. If not the first, then the second half. As far as Manny, I would love to have him here for a year, but not much longer. If we were going to make a run (like right now would be best) I could see him for one the second-half. He has 90 RBIs ALREADY. Wow. And check this out, he's a team player. (source: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/scouting?statsId=5132) But then, I'd like for the Cubs to fill in with a player like Murton there too. I really like Murton's speed. So I guess a yes, but not for more than a year contract.
  17. Right now he's just behind Zambrano (like 3 innings) to be 2nd place for IP among Cubs pitchers. It'd be foolish to cut him off. Find me another pitcher with such defense and knowledge of the game, and such a long-standing history of reaching 15 wins. He almost always gives you a quality start. Anyway, lets hope this game is a blowout and we cream the Giants. Dempster has pitched three days in a row, and needs a rest.
  18. This has to be a huge confidence boost. Thank god Cedeno was running. I doubt anyone else on that roster (maybe Murton) could have beaten that throw. Also lets Hill off the hook for those base running abominations.
  19. Please be Macias
  20. Whoever posted that audio thanks a ton. I've listened to it at least six or seven times so far. :D
  21. Is the R-L-R thing really that important? I mean, maybe it wastes pitchers against teams with manager's names ending in Russa, but I'd rather see Ramirez back up Lee, so teams won't walk Lee to face a much easier Burnitz and get an extra out.
