    Better now than at the beginning of the year what with injuries and our Frankenstein-like lineup. Plus, this means we can make up some huge ground in the WC or Division (heh, if that happens I'll eat my hat).

    I think a lot of people are leaving out how important Hairston has been this year. First with Todd Walker gone, and now with CPatt in the minors. I can't imagine seeing Macias out there so often...I think I would have broken something. In retrospect, it was a killer deal.

    I hope he can pull it together quickly. A good CPatt is way better than Hairston. We need him back and in working order.

    0-4 with two strikeouts tonight. This guy is just one more free-swinger who strikes out waay to often. IIRC, he's leading the league in that right now. I mean, we chased Sammy out of town why? Why give up good basic baseball players to have Dunn. Frankly, if Murton keeps playing like he is now, I don't see a reason to replace him. EDIT: I'll be editing the post as the series continues.

    Firefox for sure. I get weather updates, tabbed browsing, mouse gestures (really, really useful), less buggy, toolbar favorites, and just easier to use.

    I think we all know Da Farns is crazy enough to be a closer. No way he's gonna crack under that pressure. I'll bet that this a fluke year for him though. I wouldn't expect anything above average for this second half.

    I liked the stuff about Pie, but there were some awfully low blows to Patterson in there. Patterson had never given anything but he's best, and I think Rogers is really being unfair here.

    Heh. I remember a thread where I was backed up against a wall and beaten for defending Burnitz over Corey. But yeah, that's what I was saying. At least this year he's always had a pretty good eye and pretty good patience. He's not Big Frank, but he's also been very good defensively, cutting off a lot of balls that could have been doubles and that terrific catch yesterday. Looking at the box score you would never get that impression, but when you watch the games it really shows.

    I like the idea of sending CPatt to the Yanks for something useful. I just don't see anything really useful that the Yanks might have for us. I'm gonna have to agree with some others that a third or fourth team would be necessary. Also, why does everyone want to get rid of Walker? Do we have more amazing 2nd basemen that I don't know about?

    Wow...in the last three years (including this one) Kotsay has less than half the SOs of CPatt. And he had a .370 OBP last year.... This looks tasty.
