    Tell me something I don't know. The Aztecs didn't use the wheel in their day to day life--even when they had to haul huge stones to build their pyramids. But that's not because they didn't understand the concept of the wheel. Many toys made for Aztec children had wheels on them. For some reason, though, they chose not to incorporate it on a larger scale. Woah seriously?

    Wow. Shows me for turning off the TV after the 8th inning. :shock: What would be REALLY REALLY good for confidence level tomorrow would be a HUGE blowout by the Cubs. I'm talking the Cubs score 7+ runs. That would really cement them.

    I'd agree with that. Personally, I really really like listening to Ron Santo and Pat Hughes, if for nothing else than the wierd conversations. Today they were talking about different kinds of sandwiches in the eighth inning. :roll: I would have given them a higher entertainment rating, but a lower rating on technical though, because it is sometimes hard to understand what is going on if you're not watching TV. EDIT: Oh and they're dead on about the Sox announcers. Those guys are really good.

    You know what the problem was? The game started late and therefore no beer was being served.

    Yeah. That was inexcusable. You'd think as a bench player he'd be just itching to get into play, but I suppose he thought it was foul and decided to stop. It looked like it could have landed either way. This is true, although I'd rather Aram be careful than end up on the DL, especially with his rather awesome hitting lately.

    I realize what you mean. But good lord. I dont think people really realize the class of people he is in now. The list is now: Hank Aaron Babe Ruth Barry Bonds Willie Mays Sammy Sosa That is some GOOD company. That's the first time I've heard Bonds and Good Company in the same sentence. :lol:

    It didn't seem too far-fetched or jokingly put. I mean, it is four players for one. But yeah, I don't know anything about that guy or who he's poking fun at.

    Ok this is really really small chance of being true. Basically, in the thread posting of Despio along with each game, some guy posted this Hell it might even be a joke. Probably is. But having said that, I'd make that deal in a heartbeat. Only reservation would be Glendon Rusch. He's probably our most versitile pitcher.

    The good (?) news is that we have a bunch of games against them. So there is lots of time to make up ground and put distance between us.
