When I saw the trade, the first thought that popped into my head was "Wow, I didn't know there was a franchise more in denial than Philly." -

Illinois needs to get better at not abandoning their game plan when they're playing a team that can stay close to them in the second half. Third game already this year where they had a good second half lead and basically gave it away by not playing tight defense and dribbling around the perimeter for too long.

There's still PSU, Nebraska, Purdue, NW and Rutgers to beat up on. You think Michigan's had it rough, check on what Nebraska's been through. Plus, this game's not exactly over yet either. Still not thrilled that Illinois doesn't have any home games against Wisconsin, OSU, Iowa or Minnesota this year. MSU and Michigan are the only "marquee" home games they'll have this year.

Including tonight, Mirotic is 14 for 23 from 3-point range over his last 6 games. That's over 60 percent. From 3. Also, over a 6 minute period covering the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second, the Bulls held the Pacers to 1 point, that being a tech FT because of Thibs.

It's the effect of an ownership group that the sport has passed by, like the Blackhawks (and Cubs) of 10 years ago. It's for that reason I'm somewhat relieved they will use a consultant because I don't feel confident in their ability to bring on the right front office on their own. -

The Atlanta Hawks just won 5 consecutive games against Chicago, @Cleveland, @Houston, @Dallas, and LA Clippers, and tonight they're losing by 30 at home to Milwaukee.
