    Interesting article in Crain's today suggests that a Cubs World Series title this year could have a similar revenue impact as it did for the Red Sox, which saw revenues shoot up 40%.     Talk about making your hits counts...the Sox have one 1 more hit, yet 4 more runs.We have our chances and strand 3 runners, ground into DPs and watch the heart of our order flail away. Meanwhile, the Sox take advantage of walks and made us pay....What a brutal weekend of baseball.

    When we give up 3 runs with a fill-in pitcher to a team like the Sox on the road, we should win the game...let's go Cubs!

    The good news is that Marshall has pitched quite well tonight.

    So we're playing without our HR leader, our CF, our best pitcher and our other CF, RF and SS are all banged up. Plus, if we're honest about it the Sox have a very good team at home. I'm not worried....especially after we rally to W tonight! GO CUBS!

    We've had our chances tonight...Someone needs to step up and take this game. I'm getting tired of seeing this team flat. I much prepare the one that won 14 in a row at home!

    Well that sucked....I wasn't expecting miracles, but man, when you have the bases loaded and no outs, you should be able to produce at least one single to tie the game. Fuku's swings were terrible and I have no idea why we'd bat Blanco in that situation. Well, let's hope this motivates the boys to come back out tomorrow night with a bit more gusto...they were flat tonight. Go Cubs!

    Well, let's be perfectly fair, as deplorable an act as throwing garbage on the field is, that's pretty much all the '06 team was worth... Oh I agree 100%. My friend always got really pissed about it and I'd just say "throwing garbage at garbage." I think I'd have to slug anyone throwing garbage on the field at Wrigley...it gives all good Cubs fans a bad name.

    That's what makes this all the more sweet...the Sox keep mouthing off in the press about Wrigley, our fans, our winning ways and even our players (Edmonds)...The Cubs keep their focus on the game on the field.
