Does anyone really believe that Chester Frazier would have made a difference? I think he is almost as overrated as Dee Brown. Ok, maybe not, but overrated nonetheless.
I agree that Weber has done an amazing job with an average team. I don't think I've ever seen a team that could look so inept offensively for extended periods of time. Some of the games have been pure torture to watch this season, including tonight's game. I can't imagine anyone who isn't an Illinois fan would enjoy watching them play.
It is going to suck 50 years from now when all the good numbers are retired. Maybe my grandchildren will live to see the days of number 101 patrolling centerfield.
Uh oh, Pierzynski made the list... look out for the wrath of the White Sox fans. I especially enjoyed the guy who called into the Score yesterday asking whether they thought A.J. would make the Hall of Fame.
The problem is that none of these lists are complete... so if he isn't on this one, maybe he'll be on the next one or the next one after that, or his brother's mistress's cousin will write a book in 10 years that contains damning evidence. Where does it end? The fact that a player isn't on the 2003 list in no way proves their innocence. All it proves is that they didn't fail a test at that time. I'm 99% convinced that Sosa used steroids, but I don't need a list to prove that to me and at this point I don't see any benefit in the continued leaking of names.
Time posted a really good article about Rick Helling, excerpted from the Joe Torre book. I had never heard this story before, but I definitely gained a lot of respect for Helling. http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1881350,00.html
Being indicted may be a bit harsh, but I can't believe how many Selig defenders there still are out there. Mike & Mike were gushing over him last week... I just don't get it.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to get MLB Gameday Audio through the Nintendo DS web browser? I'm considering buying a DS and this would definitely be a deciding factor.
(2) Field Box - 5/14 vs. Padres (2) UD Reserve - 6/21 vs. Indians (2) UD Reserve - 7/2 vs. Brewers (4) Bleachers - 7/25 vs. Reds (2) UD Box - 8/16 vs. Pirates Not all of my first choices, but I'm happy with the choices nonetheless... and only about $10 over budget. =D>
I'm still waiting for my 3rd and 4th confirmations as well.. which seems to be a trend. The first two came in immediately. If I remember correctly this happened last year too. Being my available credit on my CC seems to reflect the purchase I think I'm alright I ordered 5 sets of tickets and only got confirmation from the last one, but my credit card reflects all 5 charges. I expect that the rest of the confirmations will trickle in throughout the day, nothing to be concerned about.
Are you running 80 windows all on one PC? I had about 50 going between 2 PC's and it caused my internet connection to go down, so now I'm back to about 35.
Some people don't feel the need to exploit other Cubs fans...others don't have the capital to spend on 6 tickets. Yep, exactly. Call me Un-American, I buy tickets to attend games, not to re-sell them.
