  1. That's what we all keep saying...
  2. Yes, except with a runner on 1st base and 2 outs the most important thing is to keep the ball in front of you. It's not worth the risk to try for a spectacular catch in that situation.
  3. Not really... At this point of the season I look more toward the loss column, and we would be 1 game back... and with Milwaukee's opponents I don't see them losing many more games until possibly the San Diego series.
  4. I've been listening to quite a few Milwaukee games and I like Bob Eucker a lot, but sometimes the game is hard to follow. He tends to go into "Hawk mode" when something negative happens and it can be hard to tell what's going on.
  5. Does it still count if you watch it on Mute and only look at Elizabeth Hasselbeck? That's not quite so bad...
  6. I think he's pitching fine. Are you Tony Larussa? I hope so.
  7. Cedeno is due... in fact he's been due since April.
  8. Soto rips a base hit, he's on fire!!!
  9. Yes, yes we should... Unfortunately, those usually seem to be the guys who shut us down.
  10. He's still playing it safe because of the quad strain. He would have to have been totally healthy and busting at full speed to make that a triple. Yeah, he didnt "admire" crap. He started jogging right away, he was just moving slowly. Not true, he basically started out walking and watching the ball, then started running.
  11. Soriano should have had a triple there if he wasn't admiring his warning track shot.
  12. Except that he has been completely all or nothing lately and is a horrible lead-off hitter. Soriano has had some huge home runs lately, but has been terrible in almost every other at bat.
  13. Not even close. He's been good as a closer. Tonight he was the only guy warm because it looked like a save situation. The constant Dempster bashing is irrational. he certainly hasnt been good lately 90% save %.
  14. I agree. I've never heard so many people unsatisfied with a 90% save percentage. Sure he has had some bad outings in non-save situations, but he's still one of the more consistent closers the Cubs have had in awhile.
  15. Wow, Lou not looking too happy there, but I'll take it!
  16. I know this is asking for way too much, but let's get Woody a win.
  17. Good job Eyre. It's nice to be able to say that without any hint of sarcasm.
  18. Gotta have those veterans down the stretch, dude. If only that veteran was Greg Maddux.
