I didn't see this posted anywhere else, but I just heard Lou's post-game press conference and he said that Harden most likely wouldn't pitch again until the St. Louis series. Does anyone know whether he is having arm problems or is this just a pro-active skipped start to try to keep him strong down the stretch?

I thought so, but who knows... the strike zone has been wacky all series on both sides. Pitches right down the middle are being called balls and pitches at the ankles are strikes.

Speaking of Cincinnati, has anyone ever been to a place across the river called JB Fins? I'm headed to Cincinnati next weekend and thinking about checking out a band there after Friday's game, Doc Brown and the Jiggawatts... With a name like that, how could they not be awesome?

I only caught a portion of this today on The Score, with Matt Abbatacola filling in for Boers, but Matt said that he has a reliable source who indicated that a big part of Zambrano's struggles this year have been due to his lack of commitment to keeping himself in shape. There was some mention of a back problem and not doing all the necessary exercises to stay in top condition. I have no idea how reliable this "reliable source" is, but I don't think it is completely out of the question. Did anyone else catch the whole segment?

After the end of the universe, not much else matters, correct? Maybe Soriano would get the call...although it could be slightly distracting for the pitcher when he hops prior to every pitch.

Do they still show Fred McGriff or have they finally fllmed a new commercial with someone relevant? I'm not sure, but it will always be Fred McGriff to me.

This was probably already mentioned a few pages back, but why did Lou burn Cedeno for a sacrifice bunt instead of Dempster?

I think Zambrano's flaws are magnified by the constant labeling of him as the Cubs' "ace." To me he is no better than a solid, although inconsistent, #2 starter and maybe he would be better of if he were viewed as such. I just hope the Cubs don't have to appease him down the stretch at the expense of the team.

Last game was a good outing, but 2 out of 3 is still inexcusable.

I didn't see the game yesterday, but I was listening on the radio and assume that Lee's home run was aided by the wind. What is his home/away split of home runs? It sure seems to me that he hits his home runs almost exclusively when the wind is blowing out at Wrigley. -

It had nothing to do with communication. It was a lack of hustle by Soriano. It wouldn't have been an easy play for him, but at least he could have given himself a chance.
