    Sam Fuld is not the answer, but why the hell is Soriano right back in the leadoff spot? After the past 2 games, you would think Lou would see the importance of having a leadoff man that gets on base and forces the pitcher to throw a lot of pitches. Sure it also helps to have guys hitting homeruns behind the leadoff hitter, but none of that matters as much if there is nobody on base.

    Lee has got to be it at this point. I would say it is between Lee and Theriot, with Lee being only slightly more deserving

    I mentioned that a few games ago. He is by far the best leadoff candidate in the Cubs lineup.

    Likely managerial candidates: Alan Trammel Bob Brenly Larry Rothschild Ryne Sandberg Steve Stone? Davey Johnson? Willie Randolph I'm sure there are some young candidates I'm not thinking of, but this would be the primary group, I suspect. Jody Davis. Even though he is my namesake, I've never really seen Davis as a major league managerial candidate. I'm not sure what his relationship is with Sandberg, but I could picture him as a base coach under Ryne.

    Obviously nobody would claim Fukudome on waivers, so the Cubs could send him down if they wanted to, but I really don't think Sam Fuld is a better option.

    The Pirates only managed 4 runs in 2 games against the Ass Cubs. I'd hate to be THOSE guys. :wave: Honestly, this is the one time where I think it's okay for a fan of another team to come and talk crap. You guys suck ass and have for years, but at least you know you're going to suck. We have $140 million payroll and are absolutely horrid. In some ways, I envy teams like the Pirates being able to trade their veteran players and rebuild through the minor league system. Of course, when it is a neverending cycle of trading players and starting over, that's no fun either.

    In all fairness, the Cubs did have to face Ohlendorf. They never stood a chance.

    Their problems scoring go WELL beyond Soriano at this point. He is the number one culprit. You have a leadoff hitter who NEVER and I mean NEVER ignites a rally to start a game. I've been saying that for a while now here, and when he does snap out of it for short periods of time, the results are good. I can't even remember the last time he "snapped out of it", other than a few gap and bloop hits.

    Pretty damn good game. Did they finally fix the problems they had with putting on the first two? yes with the new motion controller. (not to hijack the thread too much...wait the game sucks anyway) Does the new controller come with the game, and if so, does it cost more than normal? You can get it bundled with the game for $10 extra. Purchased by itself it is $20.

    Since this team apparently won't be hitting Cy Ohlendorf tonight, I'm debating cracking Tiger Woods 10 open for the Wii. As much as I threaten to turn the Cubs off though, it never happens...
