  1. Oddly enough, their evacuation route took them directly to Packers training camp.
  2. It sure was nice of WGN Radio to give a 10 minute news update with absolutely no information on what is happening with the Cubs game... "and now back to Extension 720 with Milt Rosenberg"
  3. So if/when the game resumes, will it be unblacked out on ESPN since it is past the 3 hour window?
  4. I would agree with that, except it was strange with Zambrano throwing his warmup pitches and Lou talking to the umpire before going out to the mound.
  5. Could it be that Howry just had Edmonds in the "Which Cub Will Hit a Homer" pool for today? Maybe he just heard about how well Woody's sim game went? Or he has Griffey on his fantasy team?
  6. I don't know how reliable the ChicagoSports "From The Cubicle" information is, but apparently Bob Howry was seen fist-bumping the other guys in the bullpen, which could indicate that he has been traded?
  7. Not true. Baserunners advance at their own risk and the ball is only considered caught if it is actually caught. what? If it isn't caught you can't force the batter at any base, thus you can't turn two off of it. That is correct, but the ball isn't considered caught if it is dropped. The batter is still out, but not on a "caught" ball.
  8. Not true. Baserunners advance at their own risk and the ball is only considered caught if it is actually caught.
  9. Because if the batter runs the team only gets one out regardless. Not true. If batter runs, then the guy on first has to run as well. The fielder could catch the ball and double the guy up on first. The batter running has nothing to do with the guy running from first. If that was the case, runners would take off on any outfield fly ball.
  10. He is completely clueless at the plate. It's not as big of a deal right now, but there will come a time that it is critical for him to get a bunt down. He should be spending a lot of time in the cage working on nothing but bunts.
  11. Now onto Tampa Bay... and how their moves could impact the Yankees and Red Sox. :D
  12. Not likely if the Cubs are shopping Eyre.
  13. I'm guessing Lou wanted to pitch him today, then avoid using him tomorrow, in order to have him ready for Harden's start.
  14. Unless someone can prove otherwise, I'm under the assumption that Scott Eyre no longer exists.
  15. So now that the Cubs game is over, what are the odds of the Padres holding onto their 8-3 lead in the 5th inning to get Maddux the win? I give them 2:1 at best.
  16. I thought the Milwaukee media had this game pegged as a guaranteed "W"... What happened?
  17. So we made Sabathia throw almost 130 pitches and the Closer is most likely unavailable tomorrow... I like it.
  18. Fontenot probably would have barreled over Kendall, unlike Lee who just crumples to the ground and lets himself be tagged out.
