This sucks. I went to the game yesterday and am on vacation all this week... The Cubs are undoubtedly going to ruin my entire week. -
Dan Bernstein just reported on WSCR that Kerry Wood is headed to the Disabled List with a "chronic blister problem". They didn't announce anything yet about who will replace him.

And cut to video of Bears players carrying large TV's into their dorm rooms.

At least if it was a White Sox game, you could turn on WSCR for 2 hours of post-game coverage.

Ok seriously, regardless of the fact that they are playing the Giants right now... how do the Cardinals keep winning? Their team looks horrible on paper and has looked horrible against the Cubs, yet somehow they can't lose. -
Are there no owners who will go against Selig on this? Surely there must be at least a couple who think it's a stupid idea... and I bet Mark Cuban would be one of them if given the chance.

I'm going to be upset if Dish Network doesn't work out a deal for this channel, since we have already been left without the Extra Innings package.

I never really used to watch allstar games until the rule changed. I'm not saying this is right by any means, but it has accomplished its goal in terms of interest with the average fan, IMO. especially fans of contending teams... if the cubs were 38-57, i don't think a lot of people on this board would've given a crap about who won. Of course we care who won, because we were forced to... not because it makes sense.

If I hear anyone on ESPN or elsewhere talking about how great this game was because "it counted", I'm going to throw up.

And we were so close to a tie to end this home field advantage madness once and for all... Now Selig will claim success and ignore the question of what he would have done in the result of a tie.
