Or guard him. One of the two. -
Rumor has it that Lee left the game due to confusion over not hearing the Luna jingle when he made it to 2nd Base.

I still can't believe Hendry gave Gathright $800,000. Talk about throwing money out the window...
-
A 10 page game thread for a nationally televised Saturday afternoon game... that pretty much says it all.
-
he went the way of your TV :( Hopefully, for both Marmol and my TV, it is just a minor setback. I feel so deprived that I will have to watch the games on my old 27" until I can get a repair guy out here...
-
My TV in the family room died... what happened to Marmol?
-
It makes a lot of sense to blame the loss on defense when the Cubs scored a whole 1 run...
-
I was at the game last night and I thought the same thing... what the hell is the point in booing Hairston? Sure he wasn't great as a Cub, but did anyone really expect him to be? The Cubs fanbase as a whole is getting way too boo-happy. I'm all for booing Dusty, but that kind of loses its effect when the fans turn around and boo a reserve player like Hairston.

Vizcaino was doing well. Yeah I suppose. Then again they're releasing him. Dont forget Gathright whose roster spot could be be used just as well on a houseplant. But is that houseplant "speedy"? I thnk not!

As much as I would love to see Bradley in the lineup for my first game of the year, I have to agree that it would be foolish to put him out there. Of course, that makes his "appeal on principal" look like an even worse decision.

One of the best series ever: Celtics win 4-3
Irrelevant Dude replied to cubswin2009's topic in Other Sports
Miller makes me nervous every time he does the old man stroll through the lane, and most of the time something bad happens. I don't know what the deal was with Tyrus not being in the game. -
One of the best series ever: Celtics win 4-3
Irrelevant Dude replied to cubswin2009's topic in Other Sports
2 reasons... He is a bad coach and extremely stubborn. Not only does he make mistakes, but he also refuses to acknowledge or learn from them. -
Any word on whether they may have trouble getting the game in tomorrow night?
-
As much as this ruins my plans for the night, it will be nice to give Marmol and the rest of the bullpen 2 full days of rest, especially with Harden starting the next game.

Lous a freaking idiot Part 2 2009 season
Irrelevant Dude replied to Keener98's topic in Chicago Cubs Talk
And for one magic night in 1998, he was exactly that... -
What exactly was Hill doing by the way? That was a nice tantrum there...

Are the Indians out of the race yet? Is Wood available?
-
At least Gregg is on mine. Oh wait...

Adenhart (Angels) Killed after game in wreck
Irrelevant Dude replied to moorecg's topic in General Baseball Talk
This is a really sad story. What makes it especially sad is the contrast between Adenhart's performance and how he went from probably one of the happiest days in his life to being gone a few hours later. I wish the best to his family, friends, and teammates. -
Is Vizcaino in Lou's doghouse already without even throwing a pitch?
-
Still no HD here in the far south suburbs.
-
Guzman, Patten, and Vizcaino... Yikes! Hopefully Guzman and Patten will surprise me, but this seems like a very weak core of middle relievers. At this point, the only 2 guys in the bullpen I really trust are Marmol and Heilman.
-
And skip Cubs season? Blasphemy!
-
I haven't always been the biggest Meacham fan, but his loss could be huge unless there is a shooter coming in next year or Legion can step up. He was the only halfway consistent outside shooter on the team.
-
It happened more than once.
