  1. I sure am glad I sold my tickets to this one.
  2. When does the WGN deal expire?
  3. I thought that was out of question anyway. Aren't all the salary cap projections already figuring that Huet will be sent to the minors or elsewhere, thereby removing him from the cap picture?
  4. What is wrong with this guy? Strike 1 to Lee was 6 inches outside.
  5. Good for Byrd. Those were two ridiculous strike calls.
  6. The high-pitched noise is back and worse than ever on tonight's broadcast. This has been going on for months. I really wish the Cubs could fix whatever the problem is with their equipment, because I'm about ready to mute the TV.
  7. Hard to believe this team is 9 games under .500 after innings like that!
  8. There you go Cleveland fans. It is God's fault.
  9. This is true, but playing with LeBron will also probably extend Wade's career by lessening the beating that he takes on a nightly basis. He won't be the same player at the end of a 6 year deal, but will likely still be a very productive player.
  10. I'm admittedly not an expert on the NBA salary cap, but how is that possible? If the big 3 take 15 mil each they can sign Miller. Then they need to sign players on the minimum. Still possible but hard. That is assuming Beasley is gone, right? And if I'm another NBA GM, why would I do anything to help the Heat achieve world domination?
  11. In Game 1 of the 2007 NBA Finals the Cavaliers started Sasha Pavlovic, Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas with Mike Brown on the bench. I think that qualifies and then some. The Heat can't afford players the caliber of 2007 Gooden, Hughes, or Ilgauskas. The Heat don't need players of that caliber. Exactly, I don't understand why everyone thinks Miami needs studs to back them up. Sure you need bench and role players but you DON'T need studs when you have 3 superstars on the same team. I think they will suffer a bit in the regular season due to their lack of depth and not wanting to rely on the "big 3" for heavy minutes every game. Once they tighten up their rotation in the playoffs however, the lack of depth will be much less of an issue.
  12. I'm admittedly not an expert on the NBA salary cap, but how is that possible?
  13. What report? That was the correct response to any report involving Bucher.
  14. Where did Adande say that? I get the idea that the Bulls probably had the most realistic, fact-based presentation whereas the other teams went for something more emotional, humorous, or extravagant. Choosing a team really shouldn't be about who can put together the flashiest presentation.
  15. Did he give a reason for that opinion? I believe his name was mentioned on Boers & Bernstein this afternoon due to a story where LeBron James filed paperwork recently to change a business address from Cleveland to Chicago. I don't know if that is all he is going on, but it sounded sketchy at best.
  16. The Cubs have been in the playoffs 3 of the last 7 seasons. Once the playoffs start, you can completely throw out the "Cubs play too many day games" theory. They lost each of those years because they didn't play well enough when it counted.
  17. I find it funny how Wade and Bosh stated that this decision wasn't about money and it was "all about winning." If it truly was all about winning, wouldn't their best chance have been to team up with an established core in Chicago? Unless LeBron goes to Miami, they are by no means the class of the Eastern Conference.
  18. By the same token, why would he hold an hour special to say "nothing's changing. I'm staying where I am." That would be one hell of a LeBron Circle Jerk to last an hour if that's all he has to say. It is feeling more and more like a very New York thing to do.
  19. I think Miami is the least likely, because LeBron would be completely upstaging Wade by holding his own special. "I'm going to Miami... oh and by the way, Wade is re-signing too." *Wade emerges from shadows with Chris Bosh to join LeBron on stage* It is still "LeBron's special", which would put him in the starring role and make Wade and Bosh his sidekicks. Also, if all three players are involved, there is no way those plans will remain silent until Thursday night.
  20. I think Miami is the least likely, because LeBron would be completely upstaging Wade by holding his own special. "I'm going to Miami... oh and by the way, Wade is re-signing too."
  21. This announcement is really very odd. Will LeBron's plans really be kept secret all the way up until Thursday night? Isn't it almost certain that someone would know something prior to that time, or is he keeping his plans completely to himself as if he is going to announce the winning lottery numbers? If that is the case, I believe he truly is acting alone regardless of where Wade and Bosh end up.
