  1. Not scoring runs is getting really annoying, and I'm not comforted by the repeated "we're going to hit" statements from management. Good offensive teams don't go through near-historic inept stretches like this one. Forget dealing for pitching and find a consistent bat.
  2. Castro doing what he does best... rolling a week grounder to the left side!
  3. Not a great baserunning play by Bryant, but that was an awful non-send.
  4. That lineup is all kinds of special. Please get back soon Jorge.
  5. It is actually pretty easy to enjoy a game with an infant in tow. A 2 year old is another story.
  6. Interesting stat from Buster Olney. I didn't realize Bryant was having such a solid stretch defensively. [tweet] [/tweet]
  7. I wonder how ESPN would have spoken about Chris Benoit if he had played for the Cardinals.
  8. I feel like I'm playing World Series Baseball on Sega Genesis with the stupid persistent K-zone graphic. I know where the strike zone is. I don't need a box on the screen.
  9. I'm fairly certain they just promoted Eugene from The Walking Dead. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140217163038/walkingdead/images/2/25/Eugene411box.png
  10. They should have left Bryant in. Maybe he could have kept guys off third base.
  11. Sounds like it's time for TJS. Has Turner had that before?
  12. The Score was reported as having bid on the Sox rights, but my guess is that it was a token low offer, knowing they had the Cubs deal in their back pocket. Cubs broadcasts seem a little out of place on 780, as it always feels like they are rushing to get back to news coverage and reassuring people that the news will continue on 105.9 during Cubs games.
  13. Hopefully the Cubs will get the same pre/post game coverage that the Sox had on the Score. I have to admit that I'm a little jealous of the Sox moving to 890 though. That frequency has the strongest, clearest signal of anything on the AM dial for me.
  14. Young MC must still be around somewhere, right?
  15. Give the Cardinals another compensation pick to make up for the distress caused by this investigation. They deserve it.
  16. I love this move, but the pessimist in me still wonders whether I should be at all concerned that Bryant, Russell, Schwarber, and Baez may all be due for free agency in the same year.
  17. Have a seat Chapman. I'm sure you are going to be real effective after your 5th time warming up.
