  1. That was the most confusing Gameday play-by-play I have ever read.
  2. Wouldn't that also have to mean that most hitters are better in clutch situations?
  3. I agree, except we are going to have to endure some unfortunate Motte blown saves before that happens.
  4. Because one of the best bullpens in baseball had an inning where the pitcher made one bad pitch?
  5. Playoff atmosphere appears to be back at Wrigley. Oh, how I have missed that.
  6. Is that Dan Johnson of "he's on the team for next year" fame?
  7. Well, if there was a good time for the injury, now would be it with the all star break coming up.
  8. Oh come on now, we have to maintain some level of human decency here.
  9. Except you're ignoring the part where Lester will pick him off with a quick move to first, revealing the long con that he has perpetrated on all of us.
  10. DIAF Am I the only one who had to Google this acronym? I thought about it, then decided I wasn't curious enough to look it up.
  11. Winning games 1-0 and 2-0 isn't very comforting because that type of pitching performance is not sustainable. The team needs to score more runs, period.
  12. this offense is right in the middle of the pack in the NL and is half comprised of like 22-25 year olds By which metrics could they be considered middle of the pack, because I would be thrilled for a simply mediocre offense?
  13. Not scoring runs is getting really annoying, and I'm not comforted by the repeated "we're going to hit" statements from management. Good offensive teams don't go through near-historic inept stretches like this one. Forget dealing for pitching and find a consistent bat.
  14. Castro doing what he does best... rolling a week grounder to the left side!
  15. Not a great baserunning play by Bryant, but that was an awful non-send.
  16. That lineup is all kinds of special. Please get back soon Jorge.
  17. It is actually pretty easy to enjoy a game with an infant in tow. A 2 year old is another story.
  18. Interesting stat from Buster Olney. I didn't realize Bryant was having such a solid stretch defensively. [tweet] [/tweet]
