It seems like just a few years ago it was a luxury for teams to keep a 12th pitcher. How many other teams are using 13+ man staffs on a regular basis? -

Hopefully we look back at this day 2 months from now and are relieved because Baez has shown promise at the major league level. Unfortunately it is probably more likely that we will look back and think the Cubs should have got "something" while they still could.

Wada is probably better than Haren if he can stay healthy, but that is a big "if". -
I can't see any scenario where Price would bypass a chance at the open market to sign a long term deal in Toronto. Also, now we don't have to worry about losing a draft pick for signing him, not that it was a huge concern to begin with.

What did Maddon just say about Soriano? I rewound it 4 times and still couldn't make out what he said. The best conclusion I can come to is that he decided against commenting on Soriano's stuff and quickly changed the subject to Motte.
