This sucks for the Pirates and Kang, but he really put himself in a bad position. What I'm afraid of is the over-reactionary and unenforceable rule change that will likely follow in an attempt to protect middle infielders.

Slow grounder to 2B, the runner at 1B stopped to avoid being tagged out. Castro went to 1B for the out, then got the stopped runner in a rundown... Meanwhile the first run scored and 2nd runner came around third, so the Cubs threw home and got him in a rundown and eventually tagged him out. Hopefully that made sense.

JD isn't having his best inning here, suggesting that Arrieta threw a "show me" change up for Ball 3 to set up the next pitch (Ball 4).
