  1. Yet it continues to happen every year to some degree. Something needs to change in the roster construction, but with almost everyone still under contract I'm not sure things are going to look much different next season.
  2. I dont hate the Brewers. They are like the annoying little brother that grew up to be bigger than the older brother.
  3. I know Tucker is going to go to New York and hit 35+ home runs, but so be it. Injuries or not, he has been a disappointment.
  4. Tucker is the anti-Nico. Everything he hits has an exit velocity of about 38.
  5. We're going to need Kyle Tucker to show up in what will likely be his final at bat as a Cub. Let's see if he has 1 hit in him.
  6. I don't think there were any better options there. Kittredge just didn't execute.
  7. Batting averages for the Cubs 5-9 hitters: .103, .185, .185, .154, .118
  8. Whatever happens, we went from looking like the Brewers were going to make quick work of the series after Game 2 and ended up in a nailbiter of a Game 5. It would suck to lose, but I'm at peace with any outcome.
  9. I think we need another inning from Kittredge. The pen is getting thin and Keller has thrown a lot.
  10. Continuing to roll over the Brewers lineup by walking guys at the bottom of the order is a bold strategy.
  11. IF the Cubs can tie this up, there's a good chance it comes down to Brown or Imanaga at some point.
  12. Game is not over. As long as they stay within 1, anything can happen.
  13. Needed Tucker to put the ball in play, but last game may have been more of an outlier than a return to form.
  14. Top of the order. The Cubs really need to get something done here.
  15. I worry about Palencia having thrown so much and having been relied on for several multi-inning appearances. Hopefully he can get through this 1 more inning.
  16. This has been the worst case scenario with Misiorowski. He has been great.
  17. I would have loved for Rae to completely shut the Brewers down, but you really can't complain about getting nearly 3 innings of 1 run ball from the #5 starter/long relief guy.
  18. There was a time last year, or even earlier this season, where Palencia's control would have been an issue in that situation. But he has been great lately with the ability to come in and throw strikes.
