  1. Does Schwarber throw that runner out at home by 2 feet or 4 feet?
  2. The Tepera magic seems to have worn off.
  3. How about walking a guy who hasn't had a hit since 2018?
  4. Is it blasphemy to say that I think Dempster is doing a good job in the booth? Or am I just getting caught up in anyone who isn't Chris Myers being great by comparison?
  5. That's what happens when he only has (*checks notes*) 9 relievers to work with.
  6. Chris Meyers is in a league of his own.
  7. Jake is as washed up as it gets.
  8. God bless MLB.TV's "switch to audio feed" option. Does it actually work now? Last time I tried it, the audio was way out of sync.
  9. We dodged a huge bullet with Chris Myers not getting the announcer job. There is no way I could have listened to this guy every night. He is so much worse than I even thought he could be.
  10. Is Strat-o-matic actually a thing that people are still doing? I have been playing Out of the Park Baseball for almost 20 years now, but I didn't realize Strat-o-matic was still around in any notable form.
  11. Just saw the highlights, and I expected worse after reading the comments here. I didn't think it was a terrible send given the circumstances. The chances of the Mets making an inaccurate throw to the plate were probably greater than the chances of Heyward getting the runner home from third.
  12. Jake has nothing anymore, even on his "good" days. He looks like Eddie freaking Harris out there.
  13. Why is Heyward playing against a lefty? Did everyone else die? Or did his .463 OPS earn him the start?
  14. It just annoys me because he's supposed to be a team leader...the closest thing the Cubs have to a captain, and he's among the people preventing the team from relaxing COVID regulations. Maybe his doctor advised him not to or whatever but whatever the reason its almost certainly based on false information I agree, but I can also see an argument that he is coming out and saying this as the team leader. In a way, it takes the pressure off everyone else now that Rizzo himself has become the face of the unvaccinated Cubs. I have no idea whether that is what he intended, or if he was just speaking candidly, but I assume this had something to do with Garlin's comments and Rizzo feeling like he had to say something to defend the team.
  15. Rizzo's decision is disappointing, especially for a well-respected figure in a public position, but I think it's time to stop asking these questions and move past flogging the unvaccinated. It isn't getting us anywhere. It feels like the more we call people out for not being vaccinated, the more the other side pushes back and entrenches themselves in the anti-vaccine position. It is unfortunate that this is where we are as a society, but we aren't changing any minds.
  16. Hot take - The Cubs are better with Heyward on the DL.
  17. He is getting hit extremely hard. This team needs 3 starting pitchers.
  18. Uh oh. JD said "poop emoji." Does he have to take sensitivity training now?
