  1. That is absolutely hilarious. oh my lord
  2. Why did I not know that F5 refreshed the page? Wow I feel dumb. By the way, turns out I know your girlfriend from the EIU orchestra. Small world.
  3. Alright, that settles it. We don't have Mabry. Usually Levine is a little better than say, Gammons... He's been pretty good about news this offseason with the Todd Walker, Scott Eyre, and Glendon Rusch news. Only thing he's been wrong about is Pierre, but it's quite possible a trade was in place then one side backed out without warning making him look like a doof.
  4. That's what I thought, but Fox said he is 34. :-k
  5. I just heard this deal reported by Bruce Levine on ESPN1000 fwiw.
  6. The date in the URL is 3/29/2005. And it came against the A's. They only played the A's in ST this year.
  7. You can't base incentives on on-field numbers (except PAs and IPs), but you can base them on things like winning MVP, batting title, etc.
  8. I was totally thinking about the Wooden Shoes this whole thread. But how could you forget: The Effingham High School Flaming Hearts http://www.effingham.k12.il.us/athletic/index.htm
  9. Any update to this? I've been a supporter of signing him since he filed.
  10. No more Dunn trades. My bet still stands. While we're talking crazy let's trade for Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols.
  11. When they were going to build a new Fenway, the two footprints would have crossed. And I think the new Yankee stadium might be built the same way. From what I understand there's plenty of room for the new Yankee Stadium, that's why they're leaving the old one open as a museum for at least a few years following the completion of the new one.
  12. I'd rather have Abreu in RF, but I'd play him anywhere if it meant him being a Cub.
  13. I'll have my fingers crossed all day hoping no deal happens. If Matsui becomes a FA that makes this offseason completely different. Let's hope our sights shift if this happens to making Godzilla our #1 priority.
  14. I get this sinking feeling Nomar's going to be signed by the White Sox. :-&
  15. Double the motivation! You can hold me to that too.
  16. I know everyone gets tight in the pants at the thought of Adam Dunn, but there's no way he gets traded to the Cubs, not without trading the whole farm for him and Hendry (wisely) wouldn't do that. I'll change my name to DouchebagMagee if Dunn is traded to the Cubs.
  17. I seem to remember Hill having troubles not with his location of the curveball, but with umps' interpretation of his curveball. When a pitch starts at the waist and falls to the ankles within the distance of the plate, it's tough to call. His curve has so much motion on it that it fooled many umpires. It's like Zito's curve with a joystick controlling it.
  18. I'm glad this is happening. Maybe I'll get another season out of my Nomar jersey. I know my name dictates my feelings, but at that price especially we need Nomar back another year. He deserves another shot to make it through a year without injury. If he messed up this year then kiss goodbye, but his upside is worth the gamble IMO.
