    I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the gyroball in action. After reading about it for the last year it was really exciting to see it work in combination with his other pitches (up to 96 mph fastball). I found it funny that Joe Morgan called it a "great splitter." I hate that man.

    Who's in charge of this platoon situation? :lol: Thanks, I just spit Gatorade on my monitor. I like Wily Mo, and it's too bad the Reds would ask for the world to trade him within the division. I hope he goes to the Red Sox, he should do pretty well with the monster there.

    This is great conversation, I've been a Wuertz fan since 2004, but I had no idea he's on the same plane as some of the names mentioned (at least in those obscure stats). I'll always remember that game where he pitched the entire inning throwing nothing but sliders and took them down 1,2,3.

    No, it will be Zambrano, Rusch, and Maddux. The Cincy series is a two-gamer. So Maddux will open at home against STL followed by Williams and Zambrano. I'll be at the April 8th game. Looks like I'll be seeing Williams then.

    Did you hear what they said about Brandon Sing? Dusty just said he was really impressed with him and that he wouldn't have had the chance to see him had Derrek not been off playing in the WBC. He coupled that with getting the chance to see "so many catchers, I didn't know we had half these guys."

    So is there only 1 saver game? Seems like every game I looked at were prime prices. May 2nd (finals day) seemed to be the only game where dugout box seats were $50. Lame.

    He played RF yesterday and made a pretty good play out there (better than half the plays made). He's impressed me so far, and if we end up having 14 position players he should win that spot.

    You should have someone you know and trust access your email and use your link to buy using you CC. I'm thinking about asking my mother. The problem then becomes A) her using a computer, and B) trusting her to get good seats for good games. Worth a shot. If she ends up getting tickets for a game I can't make, I'm sure SOMEONE will want them.

    Today's game was one of the worst played games I've ever seen (with the exception of Felix Pie). Lots of dropped balls, misplayed flies, and several botched runs (Cedeno taking off for second before the pitcher even started his motion, then Walker taking of for home).

    My girlfriend and I were both selected, however on Wednesday we'll be in the process of traveling back to Chicago from Phoenix. She's slotted at noon and I at 3. Our flight leaves at 3 AZ time, so it looks like we won't have the opportunity to buy some tickets until we get back (unless Sky Harbor has free internet). LAME.

    I just got 2 tickets in section 235 for the 4/8 game against the Cards on ebay. $76. I hate having to get tickets post-market.

    If we manage to trade for Dontrelle Willis I'll change my name to DouchebagMcGee. Until then let's put away the drugs and stop proposing Willis trades. It's just as likely as any Dunn trade brought up. So, Dunn trades anger you so much you dedicate your sig to their lunacy. But something just as likely you honestly propose? I mean at least in Dunn trade proposals their getting decent value in return. There's not a single reason(salary, talent, attitude problem) for Florida to do that deal. Thus the question mark at the end of the proposal. There's a big difference between throwing out some names and writing up a winded post about why a certain trade can and must happen. Do I seriously think they'd take the trade? Not at all. Do I think there's any trade we could reach for him? Not a chance. I thought it might be fun, but I guess i was wrong.

    I love how now people are clammoring to resign Maddux when last year there was a running count until his option vested with people preaching of the impending doom once he hit 400 innings. I've always liked him, so I'm glad to see him going above and beyond for this season.

    If Rich Hill adds a plus changeup he'll be something SICK. I'm really glad to see Dempster adding a change. If he gets that working well he should be dominant.

    I ended up getting a pair of bleacher tickets to the 4/22 game on ebay for $100. A little more than I wanted to spend, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

    I can't get in at all. Looks like I won't be seeing any Cubs/Cards games at all this year.
