  1. Was it Blankenship in the walking boot? I'm guessing so, because the other safety got hurt pretty late in that game. Not sure what his status is, but I think Adoree Jackson will be out also. He konked his head and will likley be in concussion protocol on a short week. Also, Ojoro (Phily sack leader) exited with a wrist injury, but did return, but not sure how much he played after the injury. I just finished watching the Eagles/Cowboys game. The Cowboys RB's slashed their defense. I'd put the Bears running attack ahead of Dallas' when you include the OLine's outstanding run blocking. Dak beat them deep and did well with the TE's on the shorter stuff. Cooler temps this Friday. I'm hoping we get some guys back this week to close the gap on that spread.
  2. I love you guys, but I don't follow these game threads in real time. Hats off to those of you that do, but I have a wall of tv's and I watch football on Sunday, then read the game threads the next morning over coffee, Good news was that I was able to get home and watch the game without knowing the results. Some of you have been giving Phily way too much credit. They have barely won several of their games. Their offense has been wishy washy all year. AJ Brown hates it there, and every time he complains, some of the other receivers suffer at his expense. They've had a pretty tough schedule so far, no doubt, and beaten some of the best teams in the league. But Saquon is not the same dude as last year and Hurts isn't even close to top QB this year. With that said, the Bears stand no chance if they go into Phily with the same defensive personnel as this past Sunday. Hopefully Lane Johnson is out again this Friday. Don't see any reason why Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon can't be back this week. I would guess a couple of the LB's will be back as well. Also wondering about Braxton Jones. He should be back soon as well.
  3. Steelers are horrible against the pass, so Caleb is due to punish them today. Dennis Allen has been missing guys on defense all year and he's found a way to get the most out of the guys he can play. I think the Bears can win this game even without 7 starters. D'Marco Jackson knows this defense. Hippolyte is pretty green, but he can certainly cover some ground with his speed. Wright, McCloud and CJGJ have been playing in place of Gordon and Johnson most of the season. I don't care who is under center for the Steelers, Bears are winning this game. Sister is in town and the only day the direct family can do Thanksgiving is today at noon. DAMMIT! I've got every football game recorded so I can watch them all later.
  4. Was last night's game a NBA Cup game? I'm still not even understanding what's up with those courts. Is it like the yellow first down marker in NFL where it's faked in behind the players, but full screen? Or do they actually put a different flooring in for Cup games? I'm literally stupid about this. I'm also glad I didn't watch last night's game.
  5. Yeah. The open receivers are there downfield. That play just hasn't clicked yet. Once it does, look out. The good news is they are attempting them, so they know that play is there. I think he just gets overly excited about making that play happen rather than just running it like any other play and stress touch on those passes. Ben's offense is definitely creating a lot of scoring opportunities. Caleb and the receivers need to do a better job of securing connections. Zaccheaus was a non factor on Sunday. Did he even see the field? Guess Ben got tired of the drops.
  6. That last PI on the Lions to end the game was horrifyingly bad. There was an even worse one earlier in the day in the Dolphins game that will be circulating all week since there was little to no contact at all. It's probably time for someone of significance to make some headlines with the bad officiating/gambling implications of these games.
  7. You all think you were stressed yesterday, my internet feed was haywire and the screen kept freezing up at the most inopportune times, including Santos' final field goal to win the game. Great win. While they are struggling against teams with losing records, I do think this team has the ability to stay in games with tough opponents. I'm liking their chances against Pittsburgh next week. But can we please make one deep connection this season? So many overthrows on wide open and touchdown likely routes.
  8. Too early to bring it up now, but Hawks could certainly be buyers at the trade deadline. They have 5 picks in the first two rounds and 15m under the cap and over 50m available next year.
  9. My assumption was that they would activate him before the deadline to IR if it came down to it. I'm just not expecting him to be ready at all this week, and maybe not next week. I certainly don't want them rushing him back before he's ready.
  10. He's likely not going to be available for the next 3 or 4 weeks. He's not even close to being in football shape.
  11. Looked like crap most of the game? What game were you watching? That game was fun from beginning to end. They played a very good team and matched them most of the way. Dillon was putting tons of hits on Bedard and the Hawks retaliated quite nicely. Lafferty almost broke their goalie Markstrom in half on his goal. Bertuzzi is playing like a man possessed on both ends of the ice.
  12. Duvernay was specifically signed to do that job, but Burden has lined up next to him many times, and has 8 kick returns of his own.
  13. Meanwhile, he became only the second player in NBA history (MJ) to have 40 points, double digit rebounds and assists and 5 steals in a game.
  14. It was announced early in the game that the wind conditions were not favorable for kicks of any length. Pre-game kicks were sailing in every direction other than between the uprights. Both teams knew it and avoided long field goal attempts. Oh, and don't we all hate Santos?
  15. Soderblom with a hell of a game. I thought for sure he'd give up a goal during the 4:00 penalty in the 2nd period. I'll have to re-watch this game since it was on at the same time as the Bears. I missed most of the action.
  16. That last goal was perfection from the moment Bedard stole the puck.
  17. How many commemorative items needed to be sterilized before being placed in their trophy case?
  18. It was a weird game. It seemed windy enough to cause havoc with the passing game, but I saw a lot of passes placed exactly where the QB intended. Both teams seemed to scheme a very plain and boring offense (maybe because of the stiff breeze) and it was exactly what they got.
  19. LOL. Meant Coby. Funny thing is I felt like I accidentally typed Rose and did a quick survey before I hit send when I didn't see it.
  20. It's hilarious that he's more concerned about collecting keepsakes than blocking shots these days. LOL
  21. Dammit. Back to back nights of falling asleep mid game. I really need to learn how to take an afternoon nap.
  22. We haven't seen what the Bulls look like with all of their key components. I can't imagine Coby will make them worse than what they have shown us so far. Collins may just be another guy and may or may not improve the team by being healthy, but Rose has a lot of speed, and this team has been doing a lot of good things with speed. Ayo wasn't in that game against the 76ers, so they beat them without Ayo, Coby and Zack. I really don't know where they fall in the big picture, but they appear to be better than a play in team. They will be fun to watch all year.
  23. I read somewhere that Shota wants to go back to Japan, but I wouldn't put much weight into what I read. I can't even remember where I saw it. Seems like the Cubs gambled that Shota would pick up his player option and they lost that gamble. But it had to be a gamble they were willing to make. That or they already knew he wants to go home and these two moves opens that door.
  24. It benefits them because they don't have any bodies to play the position. Shemar Turner is out. Dayo is out. Robinson is questionable this Sunday. You need someone. Other than pillaging a practice squad here or there, they had to do something. If they don't make some move, I don't know squat about this guy, but he is a warm body that can at least give either Sweat or Booker a few breathers on the bench between pass plays. Booker is probably not even in the best playing shape he needs to be in right now since he's been out the whole year. As Jersey pointed out, Poles can't really be trusted to make a big move, so this is about the least damaging trade he could have done. This team isn't challenging for a Super Bowl this year no matter what. Better to hang on to the good draft picks for now.
  25. Shocked to wake up to that final score. 6ers had 75 points at the half and seemed to be in total control.
