Santos is not only under contract, but he's way more accurate than Jake Moody. Moody missed 10 field goals last year, and Santos has only missed 14 in his 6 seasons in Chicago. Moody has already missed 3 this year in only 2 NFL games. I just don't get why this is even being talked about. I like that Moody's foot won the Bears that game last Monday, but let's not be too quick to recognize the accuracy of Santos.
I'm not really a fan of Santos, but the Bears gave him that contract, so he's here. He may not be counted on for anything beyond 55 yards, but he's pretty good when asked to kick from wherever the Bears decide to go for 3.
I don't know if the kickoff had anything to do with the Commanders starting with excellent field position every time, but maybe Cairos is better at that, too?
