  1. He was on Donato's line and he looked amazingly fast. Got some good shots off in his first action of the season in the NHL. I hope he sticks when Dickinson comes back. They might need to rearrange some of these lines to create better scoring opps. Last night was pretty rough. Plenty of shots on goal, just not really that many good looks.
  2. Not that it needs more confirmation, but I didn't see OPI on the Higgins TD. I saw Wright attempting to gain the best position to intercept that ball, and Higgins made an amazing adjustment to regain the best position to catch the ball. Weird looking play in general, but I felt Wright made a great attempt to win that play, but was unlucky against a very crafty receiver.
  3. Dayo may be doing things that don't show up on the stats page, but I don't know what they are. If I recall correctly, DE was considered the biggest offseason need and they completely ignored it in FA and the draft.
  4. The play at the end of the game to Loveland is the type of play Caleb should be having all day long. He's got nearly as explosive of a WR room as Cincinnati and he's still not seeing those plays. Way too many missed open receivers in his progressions. Ben is working on this. Once he does start hitting those receivers in stride on the regular, look out. The one other thing about Loveland's catch is he was WIDE open, and Caleb only seems to see those types of plays develop, rather than the guy who is just about to break his route. That and seeing the whole field in real time is what we need next. The concern right now is these are pretty soft defenses that he's faced so far. Hopefully more of the pieces come together in the Giants game, because the training wheels will be off after that. Side note on Cam Ward: To be fair, Caleb was not drafted by the worst team in the NFL. Carolina traded that pick to the Bears. Cam is like many 1.1's in that he doesn't have much to work with because he was drafted by the WORST team in the league. So it's not really fair to make any kind of assessments as to what he's shown so far. Outside of Calvin Ridley (who is hurt more often than he's not), you can't name a Tenn. WR. Dude is leading the league in getting sacked, also. And if that isn't bad enough, look at Cam's opponents (in order) to start this season: Denver, LA Rams, Colts, Texans, Cardinals, Raiders, Patriots, Colts and Chargers. Brutal for a rookie QB. I'm not an advocate by any means, but he's had a tough go so far.
  5. This team is moving the ball around like crazy. They are actually quite fun to watch. Vuc actually seems like an asset with Demar and Zach gone. His give and goes and vice versa are working really well with this young group of players. I thought Vuc needed to be gone too, but he's fitting well. Ayo is playing like a man possessed.
  6. Spurs will be even better once De'Aaron Fox takes to the court. He's injured a lot, but damn good when he is on the floor.
  7. I do like that kid on the practice squad. I'm assuming he'll be called up and will likely be the backup RB. I'm not sure Homer is anything more than a blocker/ST guy at this point. Relying on him for carries out of the backfield would not be pretty.
  8. Just read that the Bears are signing Chauncey Gardner Johnson. Ugh. I have never been a fan.
  9. There was a video of Wemby taking down a rebound and dribbling behind his back twice and one more time between his legs as he navigated through traffic after his rebound. The video was on repeat and I couldn't stop watching it. Didn't look clumsy at all. It was a guy in complete control and it was fascinating.
  10. Honestly don't understand any of this. These are talented pass catchers on this team and this offense is sputtering badly. To be so misled after what looked like an amazing opening series until it turned into a field goa is beyond poopy. If you are going to suck, suck from play 1 and stop teasing me.
  11. It's rumored that John Harbaugh will be getting fined for the way they reported Lamar Jackson's injury status this week.
  12. Who are they replacing Reichel with?
  13. Frickin' game was not on CHSN last night. How many times will I miss games this year because of that? I mean, I'm only paying $30 a month for this horsefeathers.
  14. More rich guys to pay off Trump on get out of jail free cards.
  15. Oh I realize he's pretty much trash. Just surprised is all.
  16. Bulls were without Coby, but Detroit was without Ivey. With that said, the starting line up was a bit surprising. Buzelis, Giddey, Vuc, Tre Jones and Isaac Okoro. Glad to see LaVine gone. Surprised to see Ayo and Patrick Williams coming off the bench.
  17. Beginning of the season, I expected no one to beat the Ravens. Lamar is a top QB, Henry and Hill are an amazing complement to one another. Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and Hopkins coupled with two bonafide pass catching TE's to go with what was expected to be a decent defense and to see them at 1-5 is arguably one of the top stories of the year. The defense will have their work cut out for them this week. Ravens really can't afford to lose another one right now. Really need Jarrett and Booker back this week. I wouldn't even hate some sort of trade for a defensive lineman now that some teams are ready for a fire sale. The blitz might work well on Cooper Rush, but could prove to be ineffective with Lamar's legs and the field spreading pass catchers. Trade deadline is November 4th, so two weeks from today. I guess DL, CB and RB are the three spots one could most consider as upgradeable if the team feels like making a playoff run.
  18. A big difference between Goff running Ben's offense and Caleb running Ben's offense was Goff had several years of NFL experience coming into Ben's system, while Caleb had one disastrous year under incompetent Shane Waldron.
  19. It all comes down to Caleb learning how to be an NFL QB. Watching Flacco go into Cincy and in week 2 just abusing the opponent like he's been there all year is what I expect Caleb to eventually do once he's comfortable in the system. Someone mentioned in the game log that they wondered if Caleb was instructed not to run downfield when the pocket was collapsing. There could be something to that. Maybe Ben wants him to not bail on his pocket protection too soon. He actually seemed like he tried to stay in the pocket when it was collapsing on Sunday. Goff is strictly a pocket passer that only runs if there is a 20 yard cushion and a clear path to that cushion. Goff has been a great fit for the offense Ben has instituted in Detroit.
  20. I sure hope they make it in this year. I'm really enjoying these games. Shooting has been up the last few games, which was much needed.
  21. So Giants of them to go and get their own TD and then miss the extra point, setting up the game winning field goal. It would have been tied and going to overtime if they make their own extra point. Crazy game.
  22. Another bs call. It’s starting to feel like the Bears are being targeted by the officials.
  23. How the hell do you blow the whistle on a play where the pile is still clearly moving. But it’s okay to let push tush plays drag out I guess.
  24. Seems that Kpassagnon was replaced by Homer instead of Booker. Booker is missing yet another game.
  25. Santos is not only under contract, but he's way more accurate than Jake Moody. Moody missed 10 field goals last year, and Santos has only missed 14 in his 6 seasons in Chicago. Moody has already missed 3 this year in only 2 NFL games. I just don't get why this is even being talked about. I like that Moody's foot won the Bears that game last Monday, but let's not be too quick to recognize the accuracy of Santos. I'm not really a fan of Santos, but the Bears gave him that contract, so he's here. He may not be counted on for anything beyond 55 yards, but he's pretty good when asked to kick from wherever the Bears decide to go for 3. I don't know if the kickoff had anything to do with the Commanders starting with excellent field position every time, but maybe Cairos is better at that, too?
