And none of this waiting is making Theo antsy. He made his offer and he's sticking to it, and it is likely still the best offer he has received. Cobb probably got his offer from Theo also, and it's likely better than anyone else is offering, but the Cubs offer to Cobb is likely pending a decision by Yu. That's the way I see this entire thing from where I'm sitting. Theo probably sugarcoated his offer to Cobb stating that Yu probably won't accept the Cubs offer since they aren't willing to go more than 4 years. Theo seems to have most of the bargaining chips (cash and a playoff caliber team), and he knows he's getting one of the 3. He's just waiting out which one it will be. Heck, it might only be down to Darvish and Cobb. There is NO mention of Jake anywhere. He turned down previous extension offers, so unless Darvish and Cobb go elsewhere, I'm continue assuming it's down to Darvish and Cobb.
