  1. Where were you during the Obamacare battle? PJ and Chik-Fil-A were very loud against it.
  2. I keep hoping to see a new update that he's been fired. We gotta have something to look forward to.
  3. That's some Black Unicorn nonsense right there.
  4. If Goodell opened up a pizza place, would anyone go?
  5. Ahh, I found the thread where I can voice my sadness about SoCal pizza! SoCal pizza is terrible.
  6. Bryan Bulaga was put on IR today, ending his season. That's going to get the outside rush linemen something more to drool about before Sunday. I watched the first half of the Green Bay game pretty closely. Hundley was a check down machine. Not sure how the second half worked out, but I do recall a few passes downfield. One was overthrown and would have been a TD to Adams. The Bears should force a similar game plan this Sunday. Wheaton should be back this week. Inman should be ready to go. Any news on White? I heard there was potential for him to return.
  7. Would love to know what inspired AJ Green to go off the rails. All we see is him purposely nudging Ramsay, and Ramsay gives him a little harder nudge back, which was neither punishable or violent in nature. What Green did after that was full blown Michael Douglas in "Falling Down".
  8. Hopefully Pereira's strong comments get the attention of the NFL. Replay review is not working the way it was intended.
  9. I'm sitting here reading about this Browns debacle, and I guess I have to be thankful I'm not a Browns fan. They have drafted Kizer (2nd, 2017) while also trading for Osweiler, Cody Kessler (3rd, 2016) while also signing RGIII. They traded the rights to the 12th overall pick in 2017 (DeShawn Watson) and the 2nd overall pick in 2016 (Carson Wentz). They also used the 22nd pick overall in 2014 on Johnny Manziel and the 22nd overall pick in 2012 on Brandon Weeden. At least Colt McCoy was a 3rd rounder. Brady Quinn was also a 22nd overall pick. I haven't decided if trading a 2nd and 3rd rounder for AJ McCarron was better than being late at the deadline and the deal falling through. That's a lot to give up for a guy who is a free agent at the end of the year where he could be signed without giving up any picks. It's not like they are in a playoff hunt or something. Unbelievable that the firings haven't already begun this am.
  10. Jimmy Garrapalo and Jay Ajayi with new homes ahead of the trade deadline (3pm Chicago time today). Jay should just walk away from the Dolphins if Landry gets traded today, also.
  11. If you weren't watching his legs on the play, you hardly notice because the defender has body parts blocking part of Miller's legs. Plus, you aren't typically watching the legs because the play is happening at his outstretched arms. But, once you learn he injured a leg and you watch again to see the injury, you immediately regret watching it.
  12. I believe he owes us a year of healthy production before skipping town.
  13. This is the guy I was suggesting the Bears go after when White got hurt. He filled in nicely for the Chargers last year when Keenan Allen was lost for the season. He's a big target, can create separation and he works special teams. He's had a bad hamstring to start the year, but he should be good to go soon. He was behind Benjamin, Allen, Tyrell Williams and the rookie Michael Williams on the Chargers depth chart, and i'd say probably best available for a back end draft pick. Inman and Gentry give Trubisky two big targets (to go with the TE's and Wright in the slot and speedy Cohen out of the backfield. Add the ability to run and a powerful running attack, I think the Bears have a chance to win this game even with a drop off defensively because of the talent of Brees and his offense.
  14. They did turn one of the absolute worst defenses into a really good defense in pretty short order, while also converting the defensive scheme entirely, which created many more necessary personnel changes. What's happening with the offense has been frustrating, but I see talent at several positions that gives hope going forward. And they should have plenty of money to spend in the offseason to make improvements.
  15. I can finally watch a Sunday morning Bears game at home. But, I won't be there. But, at least I can record it. Woohoo!
  16. Gentry getting/being open on those printouts gives cause for hope going forward. If they can can get one guy (hopefully Gentry) on the current roster with separation ability, coming into next season with Meredith, Wright and Gentry along with Kevin White and a qualify FA signing, they should be able to turn a weakness into a strength without wasting a draft pick early. I'd like to see the first two picks be on each side of the line if there is a impact player to be taken. I'd like to see where this running game would be with a respectable passing attack.
  17. I think it's a bit early to think Shaheen is garbage. Fox has basically had to go rookie at secondary RB and at QB now, and he's got two vets ahead of Shaheen on the depth chart, so this is a place he probably feels justified playing the vet over a rookie. If Shaheen develops as the season progresses, I like him as a combination with Miller or some other decent TE via free agency in the offseason. Get Meredith and White (LOL) healthy, hang on to Kendall Wright, and pick up a Jeffrey/Landry type of FA, and draft another guy and I think you have the talent to go into 2018 with WR as a strength. Wheaton and Sims have been absolute garbage (catching balls) and don't currently deserve playing time. Seems Willie Young's time in Chicago is likely over. I enjoyed seeing him play for the Bears. I think they got his best seasons.
  18. That was nerve racking and fun all at the same time! Now it's time to watch the Hawks win and the Bears later tonight.
  19. Is Keenum starting for Minny or is Bradford back?
  20. It will be interesting to see how they game plan around him for his first start, but it's likely gonna be predictable as hell, which kinda sucks. Minnesota will be keying on the run from the very first play, so throwing a wrench into their defensive scheme with a downfield throw on the first or second play to the fastest receiver on the team (McBride? Wheaton? Thompson?) is what I would like to see.
  21. There's a halfway decent chance he starts next Monday night. And whenever he does start, Bears fans will flock to the stadium and the TV. But it will only take 2-3 disappointing games for all hope to be lost. How the hell did I not notice this post? I even had read past it. I was mostly being facetious. I'm tired of waiting. I won't say last night's game was a winnable game, but this team very easily could have been 2-2 after last night with positive vibes instead of what now appears to be a full on horsefeathers show.
  22. When Trubisky ever does start, no one will notice because the Bears do not deserve prime time national games and Bears fans will have given up waiting.
  23. 1. Don't buy it. 3 games is enough to know he's not a starter in this league. He's got 18 million reasons to be thankful for the opportunity he got and didn't deserve to begin with. 2. A win in spite of his horrible play. 3. OK. Fair enough. This is the only point I'm buying. 4. He's going to have to face a tough team sooner or later. He's going to lose sooner or later. He's going to get hit sooner or later. 5. No team has more drops in the first three weeks than the Bears, and it's a runaway. This is in no way support of starting Glennon, as I already made my opinion known above, but I could see the coaching staff coupling in that info along with 1-4.
  24. I predict they start with Glennon on Thursday and finish with Trubisky. Either because Neanderthal Man killed the non moving target that is Glennon, or because of his futile passing game. This way they don't have to play their hand with GB.
