  1. I will be at today's game and I will yell very loudly from my kick ass seat that they must stop this losing crap and make everyone happy. I will fix it.
  2. San Fran has a big smile on their face today. I hope Trubisky is the guy. Shouldn't take him long to jump ahead of Bob Avellini and Bobby Joe Douglas among the Bears career passing leaders. LOL.
  3. 193 pitches and they could only muster 5 runs. Bummer.
  4. That Mercer cat is HORRIBLE in the field. My goodness. My favorite play tonight is when he didn't even try to cover 2nd base on a grounder to 2nd in the first or second inning.
  5. Very righteous analysis. I feel like I was there.
  6. Me: Went to the game last night. Anyone: Oh yeah? Who won? Me: No one! Leave it alone!
  7. As much as I'm enjoying this season so far, nothing makes me happier than to see Heyward getting such positive results at the plate.
  8. Oh, Piscotty isn't playing. Throw it in the dugout then.
  9. Someone take out Piscotty. This is getting ridiculous.
  10. I strictly came here to comment about how painful it must be for the team to be stuck in St. Louis for an extra day, but I was clearly not the only one thinking of this horror. Haha!
  11. Today's LA Dodgers starter makes $33,000,000.00 Today's San Diego Padres 25 man roster makes $28,000,000.00
  12. Well hello everyone! Do we all get our rings tonight or are we waiting for the home opener? Tim?????? Go Cubs!
  13. Still too positive! I get not liking the Bears, I will never understand your distaste for hockey. Especially right now. Hawks are firing on all cylinders.
  14. As bad as this offseason is starting off, I might have to join the rest of San Diego in finding something else to do on Sundays. Yeesh.
  15. They have a buttload of money to spend. SPEND IT ALREADY! Why are we lowballing?
  16. The Bears had the most money available to spend this offseason, correct? Overpaying for a QB while missing out on all of the big name FA's that fit your needs is not a very good game plan.
  17. Honestly if Romo goes to Denver, I think Jay winds up in Houston or Miami. Based on things I've read, he'll probably retire before going to NYJ or Cleveland. The market has worked out pretty well for him. Taylor is staying in Buffalo, Garropolo likely staying in NE, Glennon probably to Chicago. You're basically down to Romo, Cutler, Kaepernick, and Fitzpatrick. And I'm pretty sure Jay will have priority over the latter two. But, but, but...... Kaepernick promises to stand for the National Anthem.
  18. Maybe the problem is the people in the building. Haha. The pitch was lobbed and Gooney cracked it over the left field fence Glenallen Hill style.
  19. In 2013, Glennon only had Vincent Jackson as a threat to throw to since Mike Williams got hurt 3 games into taking over as a starter. After Jackson, it was a hot pile of garbage. That's not an endorsement, but it could help explain why he gave off such a "game manager" profile. Doug Martin was hurt, also.
  20. I could not care less about this theory. If Pace gets the opportunity to move forward after his disappointing early results, he should do so only with the eye toward improvement, not appeasing idiots who can't stand Cutler and would be happy to suck w/o Cutler just as long as they do it w/o Cutler. Glennon is a plan designed for failure, but because you convince everybody a stopgap is a thing, then failure is accepted and he will not only live through that failure but also get to live through a prolonged development of the guy that replaces Glennon. Cutting Cutler and signing Glennon is a PR move, not a football one. It's a buffer that does nothing to make the team better. Jay's time has come and gone. He's also pretty injury prone at this point. Its conceivable Glennon IS a better QB in 2017 than Jay will be. I would almost bet that the decision to move on from Cutler could have come from higher up than Pace. Seems like the entire organization is ready to move on.
  21. Where is your solution? John Fox would be long gone. At the very least he doesn't get to work with Cutler, a "madeup term for signing a QB with no expectations of success but still going to play the season and pay the guy starting QB money but not risk losing people's jobs if you lose because you convinced the public that this made up term is a real thing that should be considered when judging results", and a prospect. Ryan Pace should have hired a better coach long ago and because there is no risk to future you keep Cutler until the day you have a better QB ready to take over his job. They sign the best free agents available (of which Glennon is not even close to that list, let alone on top of it), and you draft the best players available. You keep adding the best talent out there that you can get your hands on and you don't waste time cutting one QB and signing another just because of some made up need to "move on". Paying Mike Glennon $30m to QB your team for a year and a half is just a waste of time and money. I've been a Cutler apologist as long as you have, but he's now about as popular as ketchup on a hot dog on the Fourth of July in Chicago. I totally understand moving on from him at this point even if he is a better QB candidate than anyone else available. Call it stop gap because there is no one out there that gives them the value to putting them in the playoff discussion before any games are played, but Cutler doesn't give them that discussion, either, and might create an even bigger distraction if he was benched in favor of a rookie. Not sure Glennon is the answer, and I probably would have stuck with Hoyer and the best QB available in the draft.
  22. He's never missed a game as a Chicago Cub, so why the pessimism?
  23. ...David Ross tho? The Cardinal story was the first link when I opened it. Ross is there now. Cardinal story bumped one down. Weird.
  24. They lost the first two draft picks (after Fowler) #56 and #75 for 2017 and they have 30 days to pay a $2 million fine. http://247sports.com/Bolt/ESPN-hires-David-Ross-for-MLB-analyst-position-50934921
