  1. I go Tiger because Federe only has to take it one opponent at a time. Tiger enters tournaments against dozens of opponents.
  2. This all my fault. We don't have waivers because I like first come first serves. This means you get the guy the next day. Oh and Vance, you don't have to worry about him advancing since I am going to beat you next week.
  3. They did. They're not much of a threat though. Wow. Jason White...who knew? Didn't seem all that great at the time.
  4. POTY? One word... Len.
  5. Thanks. Dude, where's Pujols, Rivera, and Halladay?
  6. Yeah, All-American's guys absolutely TANKED tonight. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. 5 of his best and they all get rocked or a ND. He even picked up Matt Cain who went 8 with 1 run and 8k's but didn't have a spot for him.

  8. http://home.mn.rr.com/classictv/Gillig1.jpg I can't find any good ones.
  9. I'm like the Astros. I think I was somewhere around 10th in late May. Made a big charge, but I haven't been able to pass Vance for about a month. Here's what I'm going in with: C - Mike Barrett 1B - Sir Albert, Lord of Pujols 2B - Tad Iguchi 3B - Larry Jones SS - Jimmy Rollins OF - Johnny Damon OF - Craig Munroe OF - Vernon Wells Bench - Craig Counsell, Wily Mo. SP - Chris Carpenter, Matt Clement, Andy Pettite (I got laughed at during the draft for that one), Dan Haren (laughed at again), Rich Harden, Cliff Lee, Jay Seo, Bruce Chen, and I just dropped Victor Zambrano and picked up Anthony Reyes. I have no idea how Zambrano made it on my roster all year. I honestly just wasn't paying attention to him I guess. RP - K-Rod, Dempster, Scott Shields, Cliff Politte. Here are my end of regular season awards: Manager of the Year - Maneatingtarps. It came down to him and Vance and it was kind of a LaRussa/Cox situation. One guy just ran away and hid for the whole season, while one guy did his best with lesser talent. Luckiest draft of the year: Had to give this one to myself. It was all luck. I focused way too much on offense at first and screwed myself over in pitching. Who knew that Carpenter, Pettite, Harden, and Haren would actually be good? Not me. Most astute usage of the Milwaukee Brewers: Vance. Hands down. Sheets, Capuano, Turnbow, and Bill Hall. That groups trumps all-american's Brady Clark and Gerald Perry's Jab's Geoff Jenkins every day of the week and twice on Sunday's.
  10. [sarcasm]Wow. The only possible conclusion I can come to with that info is that he is going to choke like no other come playoff time. [/sarcasm]
  11. that is sig great Vance.
  12. The regular season ended like this (asterisk denotes playoff teams): 1* ManEatingTarps 136-76-8 2* Sandberg Was In Awe 132-76-12 3* Thrillride 123-82-15 4* Way to go 2005 Cubs 115-91-14 5* All-American 111-94-15 6* AAAA Cardinals 108-107-5 7 Cubtownies 101-106-13 8 Fire Dusty! 103-108-9 9 Redbird Storm 92-119-9 10 Gerald Perry's Jab 83-123-14 11 Longhorns 77-124-19 . 12 Seth's Water Midgets 65-140-15 In the first round, I am leading AAAA Cards 7-2 and the winner faces Sandberg was in Awe who has a bye. Way to go '05 Cubs is leading All-American 5-2 and the winner faces the top seeded Maneatingtarps. Overall record was 647-602-71 to 599-644-77 Vance, I'm coming for you next week! BTW - those numbers could be wrong. I just threw them together quick before my class starts.
  13. I don't plan on researching, I was just curious if you are anyone I know.
  14. I think it's in poor taste to take message board comments personally. Do you post on any Cards boards? What is your SN? I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and respect you, but I have only this thread to go on.
  15. Let me guess...To Kill A Mockingbird? Or just a lesson on forshadowing in general? Good times english class.
  16. I think K-Town is on his way to stab IMB, Vance, and gus dog right now, so that should bring some exciting closure to the thread. Unfortunately they live far away from each other, so it may take a while.
  17. I prefer the brunettes.
  18. In that case, a lack of run support for Rocket can't diminish his value. I clearly want Carpenter to win it, and I definitely respect you as a poster Amy, but this isn't an argument that can be won. You can make a case for either. Fortunately, Carp will get it and render this entire thread pointless.
  19. Jason Marquis thinks that it doesn't help much at all.
  20. Newer Orleans, IMO. Orleans version 2.0 Wouldn't it be Orleans 3.0? Or New Orleans 2.0.
  21. This thread is annoying. You can open it up randomly to any page and you'll see the same exact argument. K-Town and random other Cards fans who pop up to voice their support only to realize their either not going to make a difference or they realize their logic is flawed VS. everyone else. I think we've said everything that needed to be said by about page 4 or 5. The last 35 have been pointless.
  22. I think their pitching, especially with McCarthy in spot start/long relief, have just as good of a chance to get to win a series as anyone else. I used to be one of the people saying they'd be lucky to win a game in the playoffs, but it all depends on who wins the WC. If it's the Yankees or Indians I think they've got a decent shot at getting to the ALCS.
  23. ATL Brave
  24. Nunez is finally starting to get caught up in his own web of lies. Taguchi as well.
