  1. You can find a McDonalds anywhere. That's all Ray needs.
  2. !xos oG !!!!!ooooooooowwwwW
  3. I disagree with K-Town on some of those issues, but come on...that's a little unnecessary.
  4. Theyre not even showing it now. It's a helicopter fly over the city.
  5. Whatever. I was just making the point that I thought was fairly obvious. Wrigley Field is more closely identified with Cubs fans and the Cubs organization thatn Busch is for Cards fans and the organization. Argue that if you want, but the truth is that it would be a bigger deal if the Cubs demolished Wrigley.
  6. That's what text messaging is for. That's what I did for my congratualations to my Astro fan friend. That way you don't actually have to say it yourself.
  7. Not if you are a Cubs fan. It's all relative brah. Bingo. It's too bad you didn't get that point when you made your original post. It would have saved me the trouble of explaining it to you. So you're saying I'm right? Because yes, in the championship department, the Cardinals organization has been more successful, but this wasn't about which has been the most "successful" organization, its about the fact that Busch isn't as important or historic of a ballpark as Wrigley. Are you actually reading these posts or do you just like to tell yourself that everyone agrees with you? Just asking.
  8. I'm a poor college student though.
  9. RB (pick 2): Willie Parker - Bettis is out. Charlie Batch is their QB so they aren't going to throw it a ton. I'm leaning heavily towards starting him. Ronnie Brown - Vs. Atlanta Cadillac Williams - Vs. Carolina Right now I'm leaning to starting Parker and Brown. Ronnie has come into his own lately, Parker has proven when he's the lead back he can perform, and Cadillac has injury/effectiveness questions. QB (pick 1): Head-to-Head matchup; Brady or Peyton. Right now I'm going Peyton.
  10. OH MAN! I have no idea what that is! it just says starwars with colins around it. I'm intrigued.
  11. Not if you are a Cubs fan. It's all relative brah. Hey mods, how much is premium, and is the price worth it for the ignore list alone?
  12. Clearly.
  13. Busch Stadium has undoubtedly had a great run, but when you think of pantheon ball parks, Wrigley is at the top of the list with Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Ebbets Field, etc. Busch has a lot of great baseball memories, proud tradition, and I personally grew up there, but let's be honest. It has neither the charm or character of Wrigley Field. Wrigley is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. There are bars, restaurants, stores, and houses surrounding it. It has that real sense of community that no other baseball stadium has. Up until the mid 90's, Busch was essentially a football stadium. Adding real grass, the big scoreboard, and new seats helped a lot, but it was still a cookie cutter that looked like a gigantic ash tray. My statement was in no way a rip at Busch, but to say that it is as historically significant as Wrigley Field is preposterous. Some of you are equating success to history. I would argue that Wrigley Field is more significant because of the Cubs lack of success. What other reason did 30,000 + people have to go watch a game in 98 degree August afternoons when their team was 20 games out of 1st? Wrigley.
  14. Of course you'd have way more reason to be sad about Wrigley. Busch isn't exactly the baseball mecca that Wrigley is.
  15. You'd think someone on the Cubs team would have been able to figure that out by now. Yes. Maybe some sort of "coach" or "manager" who could point it out and instruct them to do otherwise, and then if they failed to do so this "coach" or "manager" could then lay down an appropriate response.
  16. DeWitt has even publicly admitted that the market size for STL has little bearing. The fact is while they don't make as much for TV or Radio, they are making a KILLING in gate, merch, and corporate sponsorships. Yankees Red Sox Cardinals $$$
  17. Didn't he almost end his career because he got wasted and almost burned through his forearm with a lit cigar? That was him right?
  18. So they lied when they said they were going to have more money to "play with" this year. That's such BS. They made so much freaking money with all the "farewell to Busch" garbage. What was our gate? Something obscene probably. This better not be true.
  19. Phew. For a second there I thought you were referring to the Cardinals all star center fielder Jim Edmonds.
  20. D Lee was robbed.
  21. Don't hate on Al. It's 5 years BTW. I know it's all but impossible to keep up the current pace, but if Albert plays 15 years at current rate then Tony Perez wouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. 603 HR .332 AVG 2946 hits 1863 RBI 1.037 ops 1887 runs That's only 15 years. 5 - Sosa 588 6 - Robinson 586
  22. You guys are just lucky I'm here to help. When anarchy rules the streets of Chicago it is imperative that you appear as much like a Sox fan/southsider as possible in order to avoid violent confrontations. In order for you to take the necessary precautions I will provide you with a link at which you are able to purchase a "southsider" costume: LINK
  23. I think it's funny how whenever someone's team goes up for sale no matter the sport everybody immediately clamors for Cube's. When the Blues were for sale I practiacally praying for the man to buy them. What a guy.
  24. Yeah, it's the little things that count.
