Larry is Kurt Warner's new Isaac Bruce. As a Rams fan, I've seen first hand the way Warner works. Once he finds his guy, he's the first read every time on every pass play. Anquan will be the Tori Holt second read.
I can't believe this is a thread. I can't believe some of you people care so much. Guess what? Derrek Lee is a great hitter. That call could've gone either way. Let it go. If the batting title comes down to that one play (which I doubt it will) than so be it. Who cares? Just to restore your faith in the non-complete retardation of Cardinals fans: http://forums.stltoday.com/viewtopic.php?t=289433
First off, I'm not here to talk about the past. But I will. I just think of what I know about my fellow Cardinals fans that the man will get an unnecessarily long standing O. Mark it down. It will happen. A couple of people will start out booing and then the majority will take it upon themselves to drown them out with a huge standing O. Myself (I will be there), I'll clap respectfully because he was a big part of my early teenage years and I do still like the guy and how great he was to the fans of St. Louis.
Oh yeah. Beltre and Young were luck. No way anybody predicted that. Rolen and Edmonds are good, but not MVP good. Sheets had talent but no reason to think he would have been a Cy Youn candidate. Really the only "steal" I planned was Santana because I picked him up the second half of the year before when he first started to get hot.
This is just bragging, but last year I had 124 and led the league the whole year. I had an unbelievable draft. Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, Beltre, Michael Young, Santana, Sheets, and on. I was stacked.
Hmmm...I wonder what's coming next? A cheesy Michael Jackson joke or an cheesy Arnold Schwarzenegger joke? Jon Stewart will probably replace Lettermen and go head to head with Conan when he replaces Leno. If that happens consider my world shaken. How do you choose? It's like picking which of your kids you love the most.
Because you dropped some very effective players like Varitek, Utley, Berkman, Lidge, Zito, and Wickman. Whoever of the remaining teams who is higher on the waiver priority list would have an extremely unfair advantage. The teams that made it this far made it because they had good teams, but now someone could pick those guys up and win with players that were only available because a semi-cheap move that someone pulled on you. You're eliminated, so the players on your team are eliminated too. It's the best alternative I could think of. I'll fix it next year.
